Shouldn't that white man grab all the corn and clock that guy with the butt of his blunderbuss? Would be more historically accurate.
Blame the media for Black Friday hype
They are the ones that get people stirred up into a frenzy over black Friday "sales". They also benefit by creating a fake holiday and then covering it. Some dude at Wal-Mart punches out a store clerk? All the better. More coverage. Here is a sampling of news outlets that have Black Friday guides.

Not photoshopped
There are some amazingly creative minds in the world. Desaturated Santa is one of them.
Jeremy Scahill has been dubbed a “one-man truth squad”.
Scahill does not believe in objective journalism. He calls it bullshit and adds: We arent robots. Objective is generally defined, by those who attack people like me, as someone who has a default position that the State is telling the truth and those in power are to be believed.

Ghosthunters charged with arson
D-FW ghost hunters accused of burning down Louisiana plantation
Four men from Grand Prairie and one from Fort Worth face arson and trespassing charges in Louisiana after being accused of setting fire to a vacant pre-Civil War plantation house where they had spent a night smoking pot and searching for ghosts, authorities said.
Those five, along with two men from Louisiana, were arrested Friday and remained in the St. Bernard Parish Prison late Saturday. Authorities said 31-year-old Dusten Davenport of Fort Worth may have been the ringleader.
The fire happened early Friday at LeBeau Plantation House in Arabi, just east of New Orleans. Authorities said stories had abounded for years that the house near the Mississippi River was haunted because of the cruel treatment of slaves during the buildings days as an indigo farm.
Authorities said the seven men had been drinking and smoking marijuana inside the mansion and had tried to summon ghosts by beating on the floors. When no ghosts emerged, they set the house on fire early Friday, investigators said.

America in 2033. Where do you see us?
20 years, what is the cultural and political landscape going to look like? Your predictions and speculations please.
Do you love Googie?
Have you ever heard of Googie? It's my favorite cultural phenomenon. Googie is roadside architecture from the 1950s-1960s. Influenced by the space age and the atomic age, but it also encompasses "phoney colonee" - tacky rip off of colonial architecture and Tiki such as tiki bars, tiki knick-knacks etc. Jetsons = googie the bowling alley in "The Big Lebowski" = googie. Boomerangs, atom clusters, star bursts, neon, all googie. I can't get enough.

Renowned psychic, bestselling author Sylvia Browne dies at 77
Renowned fraud, huckster, conartist, snake oil saleswoman, liar and cheat is what this headline should read. Cheated the grieving families of people who recently passed away and made millions of dollars doing it.
(CNN) -- Renowned psychic Sylvia Browne -- a leader in the paranormal world who appeared regularly on television and radio and also wrote dozens of top-selling books -- died Wednesday in a northern California hospital, according to her website.
She was 77.
A believer in reincarnation as well as God, Browne conducted thousands of hypnotic regressions and hundreds of trance sessions to help people around the world, according to her official biography. She explained on CNN's Larry King Live that she both communicated with the dead and looked into the future.
"I don't know how I do it," Browne once explained on King's show. "I've done it all my life."
Liberty U. student shot and killed in confrontation with campus police
A 19-year-old Liberty University student was shot and killed early Tuesday at an off-campus womens dormitory in a confrontation with a campus police officer. University officials said they had received reports that a male student attacked the officer with a sledgehammer in the dorms lobby.
Police in Lynchburg, Va., identified the dead student as Joshua Hathaway of Lubbock, Tex. In a warrant filed Tuesday, police said Hathaway approached a security officer and said that he had been robbed. When the officer began to investigate, Hathaway pulled out a hammer from his clothing and assaulted the officer, according to the warrant.
Police said the officer fired twice at Hathaway, hitting him at least once and killing him. The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment and was released.
Hathaways roommate at Liberty told police that Hathaway had been displaying unusual behavior recently and that Hathaway indicated that he had been having some academic and financial difficulties, according to the warrant.
