Never trust a Cheney

My opinion: this whole thing seems contrived to get Liz Cheney's name out there. It's free publicity for her Senate campaign. And look where she is running. Wyoming: very rural where I'm guessing being anti-gay is a big plus for any Senate hopeful. The whole state is a smallish congressional district but they have three reps in Congress. Liz-ard sees this as her backdoor to an all powerful Senate seat. So she's willing to throw her sister under the bus and get her name in the papers.

In a just-released statement, former vice president Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne, say Liz Cheney has been consistent in her position. They also appear to disagree with comments made by Mary Cheney's wife, who suggested Liz Cheney's private actions toward her and Mary Cheney suggest a more pro-gay rights attitude than she has taken as a candidate.

Conductor Boston Symphony Orchestra breaks the news of Kennedy's assassination

plays Beethoven's 3rd.

The radio microphones were present at a Boston Symphony Orchestra concert at an extraordinary moment in American history.

On November 22, 1963, conductor Erich Leinsdorf was leading the regular Friday afternoon BSO concert at Symphony Hall. Before the program began, it had been reported across the nation that president John F. Kennedy had been shot by a sniper while riding in a motorcade in Dallas. It was known, too, that his injuries were serious, but that was all the information that was available.

During the first half of the concert, what was feared became confirmed: Kennedy's wounds were fatal. Monitoring news reports backstage at Symphony Hall, orchestra officials determined to continue the concert, but with a change in the program. Librarians pulled orchestral parts to Beethoven's "Eroica" funeral march from the shelves and brought them down to the stage door. After learning of the tragedy himself backstage, Leinsdorf walked back onstage, relayed word to the audience, and led the BSO in a work in tribute to the nation's fallen leader.

Roger Ailes Awarded for Support of Wounded Warriors and Military

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/roger-ailes-awarded-for-support-of-wounded-warriors-and-military/

That's right, the man and his propaganda channel that almost singularly is responsible for the devastating Bush Presidency and for beating the drum into two wars. The man is directly responsible for creating dead and wounded warriors. You know where you can shove that award Ailes?

I'd also like to ask this question if anybody more knowledgeable knows the answer. I check out mediaite from time to time, I thought they were a lefty outfit but from time to time I see an article by blatant rightwingers like Noah Rothman and Joe Concha. Not to mention this piece on Ailes. Anybody know the deal on mediaite?
