Hats off to Detroit from this Forty Niner fan. That's one hell of a team.

Great respect for the Lions. They played a heck of a game and had a great season. They should be a good team for some time. They were kicking the Niners' ass in the first half, and they shoulda just stayed with the run, but it's a learning experience for their head coach. If they had just gone for field goals when they had the chance, the ending might have been different.

The Niners' defense has to change for the SB. KC will not make the mistakes that the Lions did, nor do they have a HC who makes bonehead decisions about going on fourth down instead of kicking field goals. The Chiefs are a different class of team. The Niners have their work cut out.

The Cowboys blow it again, and it's time for Bill Belichick in Dallas

There’s no great way to explain why the Cowboys collapse like this other than look at the one congruent factor: Coaching. It’s understandable why Dallas chose McCarthy to lead them after Garrett, because the man has a Super Bowl ring — but this failed to explain why the Packers routinely underperformed under McCarthy in the playoffs.

This was an organization that had Aaron Rodgers at his peak, with weapons for days. From 2011-2016 the Packers lost early in the playoffs six times in a row, often to teams who weren’t favored to beat them. This was a team that finished with 10+ wins NINE of the 10 times they went to the playoffs. They rarely backed their way in, but McCarthy’s career playoff record in Green Bay is a paltry 10-8, padded dramatically by their 4-0 Super Bowl run in 2010. Outside of that they lost more than they won, collapsed more often than not, let down the fans when promise abounded.

Winning in the playoffs is supremely difficult. A great many coaches have suffered the same curse of dominating the regular season and turning back into a pumpkin when everything is on the line. Except for one man ...

Supreme Court rejects appeal by Elon Musk's X on disclosing federal surveillance

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear an appeal by the social media giant X challenging a ban on the company disclosing federal surveillance of Americans and foreign nationals using the service.

X, formerly known as Twitter, had argued that the federal government’s prohibition on the company disclosing the receipt of national security-related requests for surveillance of users was unconstitutional.

X is owned by the billionaire Elon Musk, who also heads Tesla
and SpaceX.

The Supreme Court did not explain why it declined to take X’s appeal, nor did it reveal which and how many justices might have wanted to take the case.
