Exxon's Russia ties still strong amid crisis
Exxon, with a reported $44.8 billion in profits, ranked No. 2 in last year’s Fortune 500 list of U.S. companies.
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is set to consider a Ukrainian aid and sanctions package Wednesday, but the scope of the sanctions was unclear as of Tuesday evening. The House passed a narrower bill last week to provide loan guarantees to the new Ukrainian government, and the White House released an executive order last week that lays the groundwork for visa restrictions and sanctions targeting Ukrainian and Russian nationals who are deemed responsible for the crisis.
Asked if the U.S. is open to pursuing sanctions that would restrict American companies from doing business in Russia, a senior administration official offered few details Tuesday night. “As we have said, we are prepared to consider further measures if necessary, but we don’t have any additional steps to announce today,” the official said. “Generally speaking, we carefully assess numerous factors before expanding U.S. sanctions, including the impact on the U.S. economy and U.S. companies.”
So far, none of the measures being publicly discussed would pose a major threat to Exxon’s operations in Russia. Leaders in the U.S. have given no indications that they are willing to impose sanctions on Russia comparable to those they have imposed for countries like Iran, which prohibit doing business with a hostile regime.

Buffett greases $11B Burger King-Tim Hortons deal
The new parent company is expected to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Brazilian private-equity firm 3G Capital Management will retain all of its investment in Burger King by converting its roughly 70 percent equity stake in the chain into equity of the new company. 3G Capital—which joined Buffett in last year's $23 billion takeover of H.J. Heinz—is expected to own approximately 51 percent of the new fast food company.
Burger King has obtained commitments for $12.5 billion of financing to fund the cash portion of the transaction, including commitments for a $9.5 billion debt financing package led by JPMorgan and Wells Fargo.
Amid speculation that the deal was motivated to save taxes by moving a U.S. company's headquarters to a foreign country, sources said the U.S. would receive at least as much in taxes, not less, because of the way the deal is structured. Those sources did not elaborate. Locating the new company's base in Canada was seen as a way to garner support from Canadian regulators, which tend to take a dim view of foreign acquirers, the sources said.

Tax analysts said the donation method used by Romney and Bain generally worked like this:

After putting the eye witnesses stories together This is what I think Happened.
Patrolling the cop told two people of color to get off the street, the cop kept moving past The two in his patrol car as one of the two must have said something the cop could hear that was very derogatory, the cop backed up and stopped right next to the rather large black teen, pulled out his gun and tried to exit his vehicle.
The big guy now known as 17 year old Michel Brown pushed back aggressively through the window of the patrol car maybe even hitting the door with his leg getting shot in the hand or arm, at that point the cop could have been injured by the door, gun or Michel's hands.
So you’re a young Blackman who just had a cop shoot you after you have robbed a convenience store, you have robbery and assaulting a officer facing you, Oh shitt its time to run! The cop exits the car as the two run away behind cars that are now parked in the street or near the incident because the officers car is blocking the street.
Michel is 20-25 feet away from the cop as the police officer starts to shoot again, Michel has his back to the cop, he is hit in the arm, he turns around and puts his hands up, this cop is pissed, he keeps shooting, hits him two more times, Michel falls to the ground and is shot again, one bullet goes through his face comes out into his upper torso, now on his hands and knees falling flat on his face the sixth bullet goes into the top of his head killing him instantly. All of this is in a matter of minutes, shot 6 times, I think the last 5 shots would have been repeater type taking a couple seconds once he started shooting, one bullet hit a house, could have gone through his arm and kept traveling.
The Policeman was on patrol not knowing or putting the teenager together with the robbery of a few packs of a tobacco product in the area is in Question?
I don’t know if Michel Brown had a criminal record? It could be held back because he is a minor but knowing the media if he had a record it would be plastered all over the news so I think he didn’t. I don’t know why the media hates black people but watching Fox News and others you would think all blacks should be shot or killed at anyone’s convenience!
Michel Brown body was left uncovered bleeding out in the street for over 4 hours as onlookers must of been horrified. No ambulance was called by police, the cops are cruel and indignant, they would have removed a dog faster with less cruelty.

The President made one of his most riveting speeches on the beheading of Journalist Jim Foley, The Media said we cannot let this speech be heard! We must divert the story elsewhere from a Positive for the President, to a Negative. The president must not get a pump in the polls! So they took photos of the president golfing after a crises and made that the head line, page one, then in all there wisdom said the president is heartless and disengaged.
Look at the last presidents over 400 days of vacation, delegating his job to cronies and the overbearing vice president using the presidency as a cash cow. Bush was running all over the country trying to privatize social security and passing out the next game plan for taking over government from governors to the house and senate, the next ploy by think tanks that worked spectacularly.
I did not see the presidents speech played one time, rather it was about him playing golf, the game worked perfect, they have it down to a science as the general public is completely unsuspecting, as well as most of the media just followed along like lost sheep.
GOP mantra! Truth or Justice is a thing of the Past, Winning is more important then governing, that has been proven everyday, just look what republicans have not done since President Obama took office!

Days off a black man chocked to death by police in New York while the man holds up his hands. Travon Martin shot dead by Zimmerman walks away after circus trial in Florida because finding Zimmerman guilty would cost the state of Florida millions in law suits.
The Media is just as guilty as the killers, they take sides and report with bias, the truth is secondary, justice is only for those with power and politically correct. News Stations and papers get stories from police, you don’t play ball with police you don’t get stories. Police can be bigger crooks and liars then the so called criminals.
Missouri police told witnesses right after the shooting they did not need any statements, photos or videos of the shooting from witnesses. The only reason police don’t have cameras is to protect the police, they use tactics to cover there use of force from shootings to tazing to aggravating suspects. One tactic is for one cop to say sit down while the other says put your hands on the vehicle, you cant do both so now you are resisting arrest.
Watching the lock step media giants pull the same story making it sound like this is fact as you turn the channel and hear the same BS story. UPDATE 2-ExxonMobil starts drilling for oil in Russia's Arctic
Aug 9(Reuters) - U.S. oil giant ExxonMobil began drilling in Russia's Arctic on Saturday, despite Western sanctions imposed on its Russian partner Rosneft, and was hailed by Russia's president as an model of "cooperation".
Although U.S. sanctions over the crisis in Ukraine are not designed to halt joint projects by Russian and U.S. companies, they nevertheless aim to starve Rosneft of dollar financing and ban access to modern technology.
"Today, commercial success is driven by efficient international cooperation," Vladimir Putin told Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin and Glenn Waller, ExxonMobil's lead manager in Russia, on a videoconference call from his Black Sea residence in Sochi.

The massive payoff is said to have financed the construction and maintenance of military bases, oil field repairs, and various infrastructure rebuilding projects across the war-torn nation. Exxon Mobil deal with Ukraine factors in Russia’s Crimea policy
The August 2012 awarding of rights to develop a major natural gas find in the Black Sea near Crimea to a consortium led by Exxon Mobil and Royal Dutch Shell may have strongly predisposed Russia to support the referendum which resulted in the reunion of Crimea with Russia. The Skifska gas field is estimated to hold recoverable gas reserves in the range of 200-250 billion cubic meters. The field is likely to produce five billion cubic meters of gas annually once developed.
