Unbelievably amazing,” Moore says in his post.

The problem originated when officials decided to use water from the Flint River, but neglected to add a corrosion inhibitor to the system. At the time, officials estimated the cost of buying water from Detroit this year at $16 million, and the overall annual cost of switching to the new Karegnondi Water Authority would be $12.5 million.
“Over all of this time, Flint residents have been exposed to this hazard without the protection of what’s supposed to be in federal law , which is a corrosion control program to keep lead low in the water supply. So, the lead problem’s been going on ever since the switch,” said Mark Edwards, a Virginia Tech professor who oversaw research on the lead in Flint’s drinking water.

Texas grand jury clears Planned Parenthood, indicts its accusers
Washington (CNN)A Texas investigation into Planned Parenthood on Monday culminated in an indictment -- of the organization's accusers instead of the group.
The Harris County District Attorney's office announced that Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast had been cleared in the two-month-long investigation.
But the grand jury did indict two individuals who were involved in making secret recordings of the group that were released to publicly discredit the group, which provides health services and abortions.
David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt were indicted for tampering with a governmental record, a second-degree felony, and Daleiden was also indicted on the count of prohibition of the purchase and sale of human organs, a class A misdemeanor, according to the Harris County district attorne

The Detroit Free Press has obtained copies of the emails between Governor Snyder’s staff and Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr that prove that he was basically offered the position before the financial emergency had even been declared in Detroit. Under Emergency Financial Manager law that was in effect at the time, Public Act 72, a state review team had to make the determination that Detroit was actually in a financial emergency before an Emergency Financial Manager was hired. This detail … sorry –LAW – did not appear to get in the way of Governor Snyder making the assessment himself and hiring Orr before the process had been completed.

Note the progression there:
(A) The governor appoints the review team.
(B) The review team makes an assessment.
(C) If the assessment is that the city needs at EFM, the governor notifies the city in writing and then assigns management of the city to the local financial assistance loan board.
(D) The local financial assistance loan board then appoints an EFM.
Governor Snyder did appoint the team but, based on the emails (you can read them HERE [pdf]), http://www.eclectablog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/OrrBairdemails.pdf he had already hired Orr before the review team’s report was issued on February 20th, before the governor himself had formally declared the emergency which happened on March 1st, and before the review team (whose job it was to hire him) appointed Orr on March 14th.
He skipped steps B & C and took over step D himself. The conversations were going on as early as February 12th, a week before the report was issued. They were even getting photos for Mr. Orr’s apartment building on February 25th which was over two weeks before he was even appointed. Very efficient!

The Tables Turn: Planned Parenthood antagonists indicted

AUSTIN, Texas — A Houston grand jury investigating undercover footage of Planned Parenthood found no wrongdoing Monday by the abortion provider and instead indicted anti-abortion activists involved in making the videos that provoked outrage among Republican leaders nationwide.
Republican Gov. Greg Abbott has called footage from the Planned Parenthood clinic in Houston “repulsive and unconscionable.” It showed people pretending to be from a company that procures fetal tissue for research touring the facility. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton also opened his own investigation into the videos.
“This is absolutely great news because it is a demonstration of what Planned Parenthood has said from the very beginning: We follow every law and regulation and these anti-abortion activists broke multiple laws to try and spread lies,” said spokeswoman Rochelle Tafolla of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.

The emails expose the anti-democratic nature of the emergency manager law itself. Voters last year rejected Public Act 4 overturning the emergency manager law passed in 2011. In response, Governor Snyder declared that an old law, Public Act 72, was back in force, allowing the state to appoint an “emergency financial manager.”
Then, against the will of the public, the governor essentially changed the name of Public Act 4 to Public Act 436—the current EM law—and forced it through with bipartisan support in a lame duck Congress. PA 436, which gives even greater dictatorial powers to an “emergency manager” than PA 72, went into effect just after Orr was installed under the old law, and then was automatically upgraded three days later.

The Water troubles in Flint started in 2013, Republican Governor Snyder has not shown his emails back when this started and has redacted whole pages from the emails he thinks are necessary.
Water tests have detected E. coli and fecal bacteria, as well as high levels of trihalomethanes, a carcinogenic chemical cocktail known as THMs. For months, the city concealed the presence of THMs, which over years can lead to increased rates of cancer, kidney failure, and birth defects. Still, it was obvious to local residents that something was up. Some of them were breaking out in mysterious rashes or experiencing bouts of severe diarrhea, while others watched as their eyelashes and hair began to fall out.
Who gives a damm what Cruz or any GOP runner think!
Why are the Republicans running so many nominee's? To bash and trash Democrats x 10 but also to elevate the insignificant like Cruz and others as if what they say matters, if not now for latter, years down the road in other elections.
