Republican GODS say No Voting on Sunday in North Carolina Counties!

Democracy is for the the Rich and Powerful - “Not for the Peasants!

Dozens of North Carolina counties slash early voting weeks before Election Day

After spending millions of dollars defending their voting restrictions in court, and losing, the North Carolina Republican Party tried to find a way around the federal ruling. They sent a confidential memo to the boards of elections in the state’s 100 counties urging them cut early voting, which they said was “in the best interest of the party.”

Since that memo went out, 23 Republican-controlled counties have cut early voting hours, some by more than three-quarters. Nine have eliminated Sunday voting. Many counties also voted to eliminate early voting locations on college campuses, including North Carolina’s historically black universities. The three North Carolina counties with the highest percentages of African Americans will also see their early voting opportunities drastically

The goal of early voting is to ensure that poor people who can’t get off work during regular hours will be able to exercise their right to vote in a democracy,” Barber said. “Something is morally wrong with you if you are working to suppress and undermine the vote.”

But Sunday voting has been a major boon for African American communities over the past few elections, as churches have mobilized to help their congregants cast ballots early. Barber explained that many black churches do this in honor of Bloody Sunday — the day in 1965 where black activists demanding voting rights were clubbed and tear-gassed by police in Selma, Alabama. “If we were beat on a Sunday and bloodied on a Sunday, we should be able to cast our ballot on a Sunday,” he said.

List of pipeline accidents in the United States in the 21st century

On January 2, 3 people were injured, and numerous homes were damaged in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, when a leak gas from a gas main entered a home. Preliminary results indicate that a leak occurred at a weld seam on the gas main.[559]
On January 9, a 30-inch Atmos Energy gas transmission pipeline exploded and burned in Robertson County, Texas. 4 families nearby were evacuated.[560]
On January 11, butane leaking from a pipeline storage facility, in Conway, Kansas, forced a closure of a nearby highway for a time.[561]
On February 14, a 6-inch crude oil pipeline broke near Rozet, Wyoming, spilling about 1,500 gallons of crude oil into a creek bed.[562]
On February 16, an explosion and fire occurred at a gas plant in Frio County, Texas. 2 employees at the plant were injured.[563]
On February 24, a 10-inch propane pipeline exploded and burned, near Sulphur, Louisiana. There were no injuries. About 208,000 gallons of propane were lost, and, the cause of the failure was not found.[564][565]
On March 11, about 30,000 gallons of gasoline spilled from a leaking plug on a pipeline, at a tank farm in Sioux City, Iowa.[566]
On March 22, about 4,000 gallons of gasoline spilled from a 6-inch petroleum products pipeline in Harwood, North Dakota.[567]
On April 2, the TransCanada Corporation Keystone Pipeline was observed by a local resident to be leaking, near Freeman, South Dakota. The cause was a crack in a girth weld, and amount of tar sands dilbit spill was about 16,800 gallons.[568][569]
On April 12, a pipeline at a gas plant in Woodsboro, Texas exploded, killing 2 men, and injured another worker.[570]
On April 17, a 10 petroleum products pipeline failed in Wabash County, Illinois, resulting in a sheen on the Wabash River. About 48,000 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled.[571]
On April 29, a 30-inch Texas Eastern/Spectra Energy pipeline exploded, injuring one man, destroying his home and damaging several others. The incident was reported at 8:17a.m., near the intersection of Routes 819 and 22 in Salem Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Later, Spectra Energy Corp. announced plans to dig up and assess 263 miles of that pipeline, from Pennsylvania to New Jersey.[572][573]
On May 20, a Shell Oil Company pipeline leaked near Tracy, California, spilling about 21,000 gallons of crude oil.[574]
On June 23, a Crimson Pipeline crude oil line leaked in Ventura County, California. Initial reports said the spill size was from 25,200 gallons to 29,000 gallons, but, later reports estimate 45,000 gallons of crude were spilled.[575][576]
On July 6, a Plantation Pipeline line was noticed to be leaking in Goochland County, Virginia. The spill did not reach nearby waterways.[577]

White House Kidstuff Big Oil Drives Huge Russian Energy Deals Right Thru Siberian-Scale Loophhole

White House Kidstuff At Work: Big Oil Drives Huge Russian Energy Deals Right Thru Siberian-Scale Loophole

June 1, 2014

That’s right, the children in the Obama west wing slapped tough sanctions on one of Russia’s major oligarchs, Igor Sechin, who is head of Rosneft, which is the nation’s largest oil company. The man was sternly warned not to come to the US or he would find his passport seized at the INS window. More importantly, he was admonished not to bring any of his money here, either, or that would be seized, too. But none of these fearsome sanction apply to Rosneft per se—an energy giant which is currently producing at an annual rate of nearly 2 billion barrels per year oil equivalent and booking revenues in excess of $150 billion annually. So what happened is that Mohamed went to the mountain—that is, ExxonMobil, BP, Royale Dutch Shell, Total S.A. and many more journeyed to Moscow within the last week to sign giant energy deals in just exactly the areas that involve cutting edge technology. Namely, LNG plants to get landlocked Siberian gas into world commerce and shale oil technology to help unlock another latent energy resource.

The following story provides chapter and verse on these deals, but the larger point needs no elaboration. What in the world do these children think they are doing with their state department wet noodles?  This whole phony “sanctions” maneuver is so ludicrous as to starkly remind us that the the real danger to America’s peace and prosperity is not Vladimir Putin, but the amateurs and the statist apparatchik’s which run our own government.   By Nick Cunningham of Oilprice.com Several of the largest oil companies in the world are doubling down in Russia despite moves by the West to isolate Russia and its economy. ExxonMobil and BP separately signed agreements with Rosneft – Russia’s state-owned oil company – to extend and deepen their relationships for energy exploration. The U.S. slapped sanctions on Rosneft’s CEO Igor Sechin in late April, freezing his assets and preventing him from obtaining visas. However, the sanctions do not extend to Rosneft itself, allowing western companies to continue to do business with the Russian oil giant. ExxonMobil signed an agreement with Rosneft, extending its partnership to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on Russia’s pacific coast. Known as the Far East LNG project, the export terminal will receive natural gas from Russia’s eastern fields as well as from Sakhalin-1, an island off Russia’s east coast. Rosneft announced the deal in a press release on its website on May 23.

The following day, Rosneft and BP signed an agreement to jointly explore oil in the Volga-Urals region. It will consist of a pilot project in the Domanik formations, and if successful could lead to the development of shale oil in Russia. Rosneft will maintain a 51 percent ownership of the joint venture and BP will own 49 percent.

The signing of the agreement occurred during a ceremony at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The oil majors attended despite pressure from the White House to boycott the event. Many big name companies chose not to attend even though they have large economic interests in Russia, including PepsiCo, German companies E.ON and Siemens, and some of the biggest banks in the U.S. By defying the White House, the oil majors salvaged what would have otherwise been an embarrassing event for the Kremlin. The absence of the world’s largest companies would have demonstrated Russia’s increasing isolation. Instead, Russia used the event to detail plans to expand its massive energy sector. “(They’re) eager to continue work on projects in Russia,” Russia’s Energy Minister Alexander Novak said of ExxonMobil and Royal Dutch Shell. BP CEO Bob Dudley emphasized his company’s determination to stick with Russia. “We are very pleased to be a part of Russian energy complex,” he said at the forum. “President (Putin) has urged us today to invest into shale oil… There’s so many natural resources in Russia, the openness and partnerships Russia has with companies from all over the world is a good thing for energy,” Dudley added. Even though there are international sanctions on Rosneft’s Igor Sechin, Dudley insisted that their business with Rosneft will continue. “It does not affect our cooperation with the company itself,” Dudley said, referring to sanctions on Rosneft’s boss. He was even able to meet Sechin privately. French oil giant Total S.A. also signed an agreement with Lukoil – Russia’s second largest oil company – to explore for shale oil and gas. Total’s chief executive Christophe de Margerie also went to lengths to reassure the Russian hosts. “My message to Russia is simple – business as usual,” he said at the event. To be clear, the oil companies are not legally running afoul of international sanctions. But their collective shrug in the face of European and American pressure to boycott Russia – along with the $400 billion natural gas deal Russia signed with China last week – illustrates the difficulty with which the West will have at undermining Russia’s energy sector, if it chose to do so. Russia is too big of a prize for the likes of ExxonMobil, BP, and Shell. Or viewed another way, the moves to deepen business in Russia suggest that the world’s biggest oil companies are confident that the U.S. and Europe won’t be so bold as to truly attack Russia’s energy machine.

Putin Praises Exxon Alliance as Arctic Drilling Starts

The European Union imposed a third round ofsanctions last month, restricting the export of equipment used for offshore oil production to Russia after its relations with Europe and the U.S. deteriorated to the lowest point since the Cold War over the conflict in Ukraine. That hasn’t stopped Exxon, the world’s largest energy company, because the contract to hire the rig was signed before the measures were announced. The U.S. also separately sanctioned Russian energy companies Rosneft and OAO Novatek.

President Vladimir Putin lauded Russia’s “old and reliable partner” Exxon Mobil Corp. as he gave the command for the U.S. energy company and ally OAO Rosneft to begin drilling a $700 million Arctic Ocean oil well.

Putin, Rosneft Chief Executive officer Igor Sechin and Exxon’s Russia head Glenn Waller, undeterred by the crisis in U.S.-Russian relations, together welcomed the start of the country’s northernmost well. It’s the first step in a quest for new energy resources to help maintain oil production near a post-Soviet high of more than 10 million barrels a day.

“Despite current political difficulties, pragmatism and common sense prevails,” Putin said at the Black Sea resort of Sochi as he gave the command via video to commence drilling today. “Nowadays, commercial success is defined by an efficient international cooperation. Businesses, including the largest domestic and foreign companies, understand this perfectly.”

Putin needed Croatia, Exxon Mobil needed Russia to see that Putin means business in have no disputes over transporting oil. Sanctions have meant nothing when corporate billionaire oil company's are making the rules. They have bought of US oil Co for decades, they are now just taking a bigger piece of the global pie! Trump is just hanging on to Putin's coat tails!

The Putin Critics Who Have Been Assassinated but Trump Loves Dictators Power at any Means Necessary!

Tuesday 03 March 2015

Boris Nemtsov is the latest in a long line of opposition figures who have died under suspicious circumstances in recent years.

The murder of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov close to the Kremlin makes him the latest vocal critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin to die violently or in suspicious circumstances.

The former deputy prime minister was gunned down in central Moscow while walking home from a restaurant with his girlfriend on Friday.

No suspects have been arrested following the murder, considered the one of the most shocking in a long list of suspected political assassinations during Mr Putin's rule.

GOP Secret War Against Voters Millions being purged, Kansas Republican Scheme!

Donald Trump is right—the election IS rigged. And it’s his buddies who are rigging it. Rolling Stonehas unearthed a confidential list of MILLIONS of voters who are marked to be purged, up to a million at risk by November. Who? Mostly, voters of color, i.e. Democrats.

On Friday, Rolling Stone will release on newsstands, “The GOP’s Secret War on Voters,” a year’s-long investigation by Greg Palast and a team of experts exposing a scheme by 29 Republican state voting officials to remove voters, a program directed by ultra-right Trump operative Kris Kobach Secretary of State of Kansas.

Taking off from Trump’s unsubstantiated claim that "people are voting many, many times," GOP officials are targeting voters who are allegedly voting or registered in two states and can therefore vote a second time in November. While voting twice is a felony crime, and less than 6 voters have been convicted of this crime, the GOP purge operation is removing tens of thousands of innocent voters as you read this.

Palast obtained the lists—kept "confidential" by states on grounds these millions are criminal suspects. According to database experts who have statistically analyzed the lists, the program is "dangerous" and "seriously biased against minorities." Already, the swings states with tight Senate races, Ohio, North Carolina and Arizona are quietly removing voters through this racially poisonous purge operation.
