A town nearby had its police department "dissolved", because it cause too much trouble for the black community. That is where Wilson came from, as far as I understand.
This raises the question: If an officer is layed off or fired , let's say from LADP, can he then just go and join departments in Phoenix or Kansas City?
If so, don't the so called "bad apples" just rotate? And what happened to the rest of that "dissolved" PD? Have they joined other departments in Missouri?
Could we perhaps step back a little from our choices for 2016?
I can see many of us would like to take sides one way or the other. HOWEVER,
We have a dysfunctional Congress,
We have a very serious situation in Ferguson,
We have a possibly dramatic development in Iraq,
We have a war in Israel/Palestine,
We have a dangerous problem in the Ukraine,
and we have children coming to us from Central America.
All these problems have to be faced by the present POTUS as well as the Congress (although I doubt its positive input).
All these new developments will play into at least the next year and may change the political scene considerably.
Perhaps we can concentrate on ideas about these issues before we get into the usual brawl about 2016.
And, yes, of course there is November!

It seems to have traveled all over the States. Does anyone know more about this?
It seems to be caused by mites, and the bushes die slowly. So should I trim all my bushes way down before winter comes, or leave that as is normally done here to the spring?

shows no report from Wilson and a rather belated very "short" report from the FPD. Does this help or hinder the case against Wilson?
Citizens' oversight is a necessity
May be I am just dreaming. I support the "move to amend" group, which concerns the Citizens United decision, but I want more.
During the last 6-10 years the police have become too powerful and they are supposed to control themselves (internal investigations). This appears at every level:NSA, FBI, state and local police. I for one don't trust these investigations, just as I don't trust the banks to control themselves.
There should be an amendment that states that EVERY executive branch (local,state, or federal) needs to have an elected oversight committee of civilians. This still may result in corruption, but far less so than what we have now.
At least that is my wishful thinking.

of that theocratic and very dangerous group called The Family?

I think that this is an extremely important question, yet I don't want to believe it.
I dislike her corporation romance (probably more of a serious affair), but, if true, this would blow me away.
