When I'm wrong, I admit it.

I was WRONG about the fuckhead in Vegas.

At least 58 killed, hundreds wounded in shooting rampage at Las Vegas music festival

LAS VEGAS – A gunman in a high-rise hotel overlooking the Las Vegas Strip opened fire on a country music festival late Sunday, killing at least 58 people and injuring hundreds of others in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

The gunman, identified by police as Stephen Paddock, was later found dead by officers on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said during a news briefing Monday.

The massacre marked the nation's latest outbreak of gunfire and bloodshed to erupt in a public place, again spreading terror in an American city transformed into a war zone. The carnage in Las Vegas surpassed the 49 people slain in June 2016 when a gunman in Orlando, who later said he was inspired by the Islamic State, opened fire inside a crowded nightclub.

I don't know if this applies to anything, but despite the count next to my name,

I've been here since 2002.

I hope and pray the new folks are involving themselves in helping free our incredible nation from Republicans. I hope that's why they're here, and not to troll and cause dissent among members.

We ARE the best Democratic community on the 'net. THAT I promise. If you can contribute positively (or with humor) please do so. If you can contribute monetarily (hard for me on a very limited income, but I try), please do so.

THE. BEST. COMMUNITY. PERIOD.

We are a neighborhood, we argue, we bitch, we poopy-head, we say I FUCKING QUIT, we get nasty and basic. That's part of community. Stick around. We make a difference. WE helped (DU) get Obama his first win, and his second.

I live in a weird place with great people. When I learned Obama had won the nomination? I was in a doctor's office for a pee test! I did, but jumped up and cried BEFORE pulling pants up..............

Blushed a lot................

We were taking care of my dad-in-love when Obama won. I was in the living area, Arthur (my dad-in-love) was in his recliner, and the TV was on........... he tried SO HARD to stand up but he did yell and cheer. He died the next year at 86.

My mom, who died at 94, voted for Hillary. Then Obama. We're a long line of Democrats, starting with whenever.......... never voted differently.

DU? It seems most of the "newbies" are really good folks who just found us. Support them if you can, argue with them, call them idiots (NOT to the point where it gets judged by peers) and ENJOY. Be as nice as you can. We are your neighborhood, we are your community, we are your extended family.

I promise, you REALLY don't want to live in Alabama.

No matter your political bent, unless you own a nice white dress and matching hood.

Go, New York State!

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/09/ny-to-announce-multistate-lawsuit-to-protect-daca-beneficiaries/

New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman will announce a multistate lawsuit to protect beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program at a news conference on Wednesday, his office said in a statement.

Trump’s decision on Tuesday to end the five-year-old program instituted by former President Barack Obama plunged the “Dreamers” into uncertainty and drew criticism from business and religious leaders, mayors, governors, Democratic lawmakers, unions and civil liberties advocates.

The Republican president delayed the end of the program until March 5 and gave a gridlocked Congress six months to decide the fate of almost 800,000 young people.

Schneiderman and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Monday promised to challenge any decision by Trump to end DACA. Cuomo said the move would affect roughly 42,000 New Yorkers, upending their lives and ripping families apart.

“Ending this policy represents an assault on the values that built this state and this nation,” Cuomo said in a statement.

I adore Helen Mirren.

In a new Allure profile of the British actress, titled “Why Helen Mirren Wishes She’d Said ‘Fuck Off’ More As a Young Woman,” Mirren describes Trump as lacking morality and conscientiousness and dubs his tactics as terrifying.

But this time, Donald wasn’t the Trump on the end of her verbal fire. When it came to the president’s daughter, Mirren was candid in voicing her thoughts on Ivanka Trump and her book “Women Who Work: Redefining the Rules for Success.”

“[Ivanka] talks a good game, but there’s no substance,” Mirren tells Allure. “Her book is so ignorant about how the majority of women live, talking about ‘Make time for yourself to have a massage.’Puh-lease.”

If I grow up, can I be her?
