Lighten up Francis! (The Transformers & "Gun Control")

Perhaps you'll enjoy this blog post from Blue Oregon as much as I did.

Points made by Jeff Golden have been made here at DU -- but I like the way he lays out his case:

Open carry no big deal for some Democrats

Not a proponent of open carry, but I found this article from April interesting -- and I thought I'd pass it along. Scroll to last page:

Paranoia, or intelligent preparation?

ER physician: Why'd that cop have to shoot him so many times?!

Another instance wherein a "smart fool" would have been better served just keeping his mouth shut. Actual gun fights don't play out like they do in movies. Good move doc -- demonize the cop. Hur.....dur.......dur..........

En banc oral arguments in Peruta vs San Diego and Richards vs Yolo County

I found this very interesting.....and thought that Mr. Paul Clement did a good job presenting our* case.

* Democrats supporting the right to keep and bear arms.

Edited to add: There is no schedule or time limit w/regard to when an en banc decision will be announced.

I wonder if The Brady Bunch is going to pitch in if this victim's family actually has to pay $280,000 in court costs?

The times, they are a changin'.

You know that public perceptions regarding gun ownership in general, and concealed carry in particular are changing when KNX L.A. (news radio) reports on a concealed carry permit holder who stops a carjacking. Here's the story they presented on my drive home from work tonight:
