I am a new-old poster. I was active in Democratic politics, but my wife of 50+ years got cancer 10 years ago and died and I just stopped being politically active, so I haven't had an account since one of the Bush terms.
My name is really Moshe Feingold, and I won't post anything I wouldn't say to someone's face.
I'm Jewish, not particularly observant, but trying. My parents were literal Communists and hated religion. I finally had a bar mitzvah at age 70, at my wife and daughters' urging.
Born in Poland, although I don't really remember it since my parents had enough sense to leave prior to WWII. I showed up back in Europe exactly 4 days after D-Day.
I've been a soldier, a cop, a lawyer, and now enjoy being a great-grandfather.
I stay extremely physically active, which is the secret to, if not a long life, an active old age. I ski a lot, hike a lot, exercise 5 days a week, and can deadlift 315lbs for 3, at 84 years of age.
I am very socially liberal, but tend to agree with libertarians we need to leave everyone alone, and this includes religious nuts, even if we disagree with them and even if they hate us.
