Does the VP candidate elevate to nominee? Does the convention runner-up become nominee? Is there an emergency convention? Do both parties work the same on this? I have to think someone has covered this.

Presumably, that means thru the DC primary, barring a concession/suspension of campaign. However, if neither candidate has sufficient pledged delegates, both will claim they can be nominated. Will you let GD: P go on this way until August?
Is it get-behind-the-nominee or hit the road, or will some tolerance toward non-supporting the Dem nominee be exercised, assuming the member is not supporting Trump and otherwise behaves?
Democrats should not debate on FOX
If it were my call, we wouldn't make appearances on Fox & Friends, BillO or Hannity either.
Whatever you think of the current dustup, this should be the policy going forward.
Fact-checking claims about the Nevada convention chaos

"There was a horrendous breakdown, where the leadership there in Nevada hijacked the process on the floor, created a tremendous amount of angst among people who were there attending the convention, who were supporters of Sen. Sanders, by ignoring the regular procedure and ramming through what they wanted to do," he said.

A question for the HRC group
Anyone who knows me on DU knows that I am, have been, and will continue to be a supporter of Hillary Clinton. In another thread, I posted Robert Reich's call for Bernie Sanders supporters to support HRC while continuing their fight on other fronts. This led to a discussion with another poster named Seekthetruth, who (whom?) I thank for his/her feedback. The poster outlined conditions that s/he would need to see from Hillary to get his/her vote. I'd imagine that a higher level discussion along similar lines will take place between the two camps in order to get Sen. Sanders' endorsement. This is Seekthetruth's list, and I thought it seemed pretty representative of what I've seen other Sanders supporters express as wants/needs from a candidate. I'm curious:
What do you think of the list?
What has Hillary already agreed with?
What on here do you think could be open to discussion if Hillary wanted to win over Sanders supporters?
What is a non-starter?
- support a complete and total ban on fracking
- support a framework of moving to a single-payer healthcare infrastructure. Of course, keep the ACA....but move towards single-payer
- support revised Glass-Steagall act which prohibits the intermingling of commercial and investment banking
- support for cap and trade on CO2 emitters
- a pledge to overturn Citizens United, and support the complete end to SuperPACS, thus relying only on individual contributions for campaign funding. And to nominate SCOTUS Justices who support such policies
- gun reform (a given....I do agree with her positions on this)
- a pledge not to engage in further military action in any Mideast conflicts (unless we're directly attacked), and to support a policy of supporting other Mideast countries taking the lead to combat terrorism
- a $15 federal minimum wage
- Release of the speech transcripts
Poll finds large majority of Native Americans are OK with “Redskins”
NBC SPORTSThe Washington Post commissioned a poll with a randomly selected national sample of 504 Native American adults. That poll asked, “The professional football team in Washington calls itself the Washington Redskins. As a Native American, do you find that name offensive, or doesn’t it bother you?”
The result was a strong argument for Dan Snyder’s case that his team does not need to change its name: A whopping 90 percent answered that the name doesn’t bother them. Only 9 percent called the name offensive, with 1 percent having no opinion.
Another question in the poll found that 73 percent of Native Americans do not think the term “Redskin” is disrespectful. That included 75 percent of Native Americans who are members of tribes, and 71 percent who are not members of tribes.

Many of you who support Bernie ask me what you should do at this point. My suggestion:
1. Continue to work like hell for Bernie, especially given upcoming primaries in California and New Jersey on June 7. Putting aside superdelegates, the difference between him and Hillary Clinton isn’t huge. So far, Bernie has won nearly 10 million votes and has 1,499 pledged delegates. Hillary Clinton has won 13 million votes and has 1,771 pledged delegates. California could make a huge difference.
2. Don’t demonize or denigrate Hillary Clinton. If she wins the Democratic nomination, I urge you to work like hell for her. She’ll be the only person standing between Donald Trump and the presidency of the United States. Besides, as I’ve said before, she’ll be an excellent president for the system we now have, even though Bernie would be the best president for the system we need.
3. Never, ever give up fighting against the increasing concentration of wealth and power at the top, which is undermining our democracy and distorting our economy. That means, if Hillary Clinton is elected, I urge you to turn Bernie’s campaign into a movement – even a third party – to influence elections at the state level in 2018 and the presidency in 2020. No movement to change the allocation of power succeeds easily or quickly. We are in this for the long haul.
