Forbes republishes 1990 investigation of Trump's wealth

This article is lengthy...as well, another article why Forbes took the pos off Forbes 400 most wealthy during his decade of tax losses...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/forbes-republishes-1990-investigation-of-trumps-wealth/ar-AAB67iQ?ocid=spartanntp

The Forbes piece from 1990 estimated Trump "bleeding at the rate of at least $40 million a year."

Leaning on nonpublic documents, Forbes writers Richard L. Stern and John Connolly identified the same sort of profitability problems that are still making headlines 29 years later.

Chairman Nadler is sooo ready..from his home page...the timeline at the link - enough...

“Tonight, in the middle of good faith negotiations with the Attorney General, the Department abruptly announced that it would instead ask President Trump to invoke executive privilege on all of the materials subject to our subpoena. This is, of course, not how executive privilege works. The White House waived these privileges long ago, and the Department seemed open to sharing these materials with us earlier today. The Department’s legal arguments are without credibility, merit, or legal or factual basis.

I read this last night at DU, and have posted elsewhere..didn't want it to get lost......

Top 4 Things To Look For in Mueller Report in Light of Barr's Letter - Just Security

The more we question - my excerpts don't do the article justice..

https://www.justsecurity.org/63377/top-4-things-to-look-for-in-muellers-report-in-light-of-barrs-letter/

Barr’s determination that “the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense” has rightly generated considerable debate already..

1. Counterintelligence findings on coordination with Russia.

Will Mueller’s report shed light on the intentions of the American participants in the infamous summer 2016 Trump Tower meeting, the intentions and actions of members of the presidential transition team who met with Russian officials including allegedly to create a “backchannel” with the Kremlin, and apparently coordinated efforts on the part of the Trump circle to conceal all their Russian contacts?

2. Counterintelligence findings on whether Trump is compromised.

Barr’s letter also sheds no light on what Mueller found, if anything, regarding Trump’s ongoing relationship with the Kremlin. In particular, may Trump’s financial interests in Russia present a national security threat?

3. The “several matters” Mueller referred to “other officers for further action./b]

Potentially unfinished business (Jerome Corsi and individuals who may have made false statements before Congress) or hitherto undisclosed active criminal investigative matters?

4. Alleged conspiracy and coordination with Russia.

But that’s not to say Mueller failed to find evidence of those crimes. As former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance explained, it may mean anything from Mueller finding zero evidence to his finding a mountain of evidence just shy of beyond a reasonable doubt.

Barr's letter IS NOT the Mueller Report..but then, you know that!!!!

I just don't understand - I consider the Rams a good team...they also just happen to be lucky to

be playing in the 2019 Super bowl against the GOAT!.....Goff will be a better QB because of it..and the Rams for that matter.....

Coaches on both sides need NOT make stupid calls...and the refs need to do their job - NOT throw a game....

AFA Kraft and the POS in the WH...as a life long PATS fan - I really don't give a chit....I will NOT let my sports be tainted by politics...

They don't call us Titletown for nuthin''' wicked great teams over many, many, years.....We invite ALL to Boston Garden (screw TD Garden name) - Celts and Bruins games are always fun - or Fenway Park - oh, World Series Champs 2018 - Gillette Stadium, formerly Foxboro Stadium, formally Sullivan Stadium - nuff said...

Bruins on NBC - Celts on ABC - Pat's on CBS - great to be from Titletown.....Right?????? LOL

BTW - Bruins just scored...yeaaaa

How could I forget the Red Sox..

I love when people post about autos...this particular OP takes me back to '66..I bought a '62

hard top, soft top, red corvette...what was funny, my Dad had to put a block of wood on the clutch pedal, so I could reach it...imagine, $1300.00 - I got married, so had to sell after kiddos came along..I sold it to my brother for $3000 - he used it for years, as collateral when he bought his car carriers....he still has it, but the place where he stored it in the winter, was broken into and the hard top stolen....

One of the most memorable trips was North on RT 1 to Ipswich Mass....going through Topsfield Mass. was like being on a roller coaster, ups and downs....best seafood at MacIntyres, and Cranes Beach of course..but that wood block allowed me to sit upright in the seat...

Thanks for the trip down memory Lane...

The GOAT, Tom Brady makes everyone better....others chase success on the field

of football - the Patriots are a TEAM of men who aspire to greatness.....who doesn't want to be a Patriot? Name One who declined ..

There are books written about those who hate others for their success...I don't much like the word "hate" - may I inject "friendly rivalry" in its place....

I think Mahones is an up and coming skillful Quarterback for KC...I believe Garopalo is as well - barring any further injury, and a successful recovery...Goff too - and Prescott....

In title town we appreciate the level of play, whether it is the RED SOX World Champs, or the Bruins..no matter where they fall in the hockey power ranking, and the Celtics, when you visit TD Garden..look up into the rafters and check out the many flags of recognition over the years...many years....

May the BEST TEAM win tomorrow.....GO PATS>>>>>

I will watch, you know, growing up Mom would share her stories of Presidents

loved FDR - JFK - not so much talk about Truman - she would bring out all her newspaper clippings WW2 - cards from Dad and pictures of Dad in front of the Quonset Huts, in the snow - he was based in Greenland (communications) - so much of what she shared was romantisized..she was our buffer -

And then VN - two brothers, one enlisted Air Force, one drafted...we did not talk about LBJ or Nixon,, then VN war..I was old enough (class 64) to see why - late 60s early 70s...we hung on for dear life..

My brothers are fine, the younger brother came home in 72..lived with my family - three kiddos..he would not talk about the war, as war - he would share with me, bits and pieces...he drove transport truck through the countryside (VN) - my class of 64, as well as many other classes gave a lot, some ultimate sacrifice, many unable to pick up their lives, when they got home - be it PTSD, as we know it today, and/or maimed..

When these fine men, of my generation, did come home, Americans blamed them, in many cases..which was so NOT right....imagine having to need legislation to hire Viet Nam vets?????? So NOT right..

My son joined the Navy right out of HS..87 - he is Ret. Navy Chief - served on ships, Kuwait and Iraq..Pacific fleet - 21 years...I was totally against him joining - today, on his GI, earned degree, grad suma....ASU...is 5th grade teacher - so much to offer, my worldly traveler...

I could go on and on...war should NEVER be glamorized...Kuwait, Iraq - class of 70s and 80s...now, those families held on for dear life, and now face the depth of wars....again..only this time embeds and msm in your face..did we become normalized to war...I hope not...

This much I have learned and experienced, teach your children well, when it comes to looking for the BEST people to represent you in Government....it was because of Nixon - Ford pardon of Nixon,

If I were a parent of young children today - teens, of course - I would want them to hear stories such as Rachels..many I'm sure, Vets from VN and Kuwait and Iraq, can certainly choose what stories f war they want to teach..BUT, it all goes back to our Federal Govt...and people who are willing to sacrifice someone elses children for their ambition of power and greed..before country and countrymen and women....
