Navy Says White House Will Not Intervene In SEAL's Disciplinary Proceeding

Source: Huffpo

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Navy has been notified that the White House will not intervene to stop a disciplinary proceeding that could cost a SEAL his position in the elite unit, a senior Navy official said Sunday.

Although President Donald Trump had tweeted on Thursday that he would not let the Navy remove Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher from the SEALs, the Navy was given White House guidance on Friday that it can proceed as planned, the Navy official said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal matters.

Navy Times - OP-ED: A SEAL His Commander The CNO and the boss

This is an excellent OPED by Capt. Brennan (RET) that outlines, with great historical reference, the many times an officer, demoted, has been given clemency for behavior unbecoming an officer..the debate, pro or con..This article addresses Gallagher's situation ..The whole story demonstrates precedent..clemency, over many years...

The historical references are many - this story, jaw dropping, about Cuba and the Bay of Pigs..an officer demoted.

You are going to be amazed by the photos..historical photos..most recently, photo of the USS John McCain sitting atop a rescue ship after collision..2017..and the story of those demoted for the collision..

Pic too, Harry Truman piped aboard the USS Missouri..1945

Talking with my son who is a retired 21 years Navy Chief - he is

in convo with many of his retired Navy folk's and they are so worried about the moral of the enlists rank and file..he wrote to me saying

"Good news afa E7 Gallagher. The Chief's mess won't allow him in...he's not a chief...he's an E7. I suppose when you go online and call superior officers names, Yeah, it's not going to end well for him. He doesn't need to receive lifetime benefits if you ask me...that's for another day...

When there is a D in the WH, that trident will get yanked...it's pretty clear here...you piss off an admiral? Stand by".

Update- he said..I went onto NYT website and let it fly...had a lot of recommendations...and reading the comments - We are not alone here...all the comments were condemning the loser...

Oh, Timmyboy tried to disparage Vindman...but our Dems challenged him at

at every turn...he also tried to disparage Fiona Hill...timmyboy said he was resigning...I look forward to timmyboys open testimony Tuesday..I would also hope they call Gen. Kellogg, who Williams reported to and he was on the July 25th call..

This is how he, timmyboy, ended his opening statement..

" Serving at the White House in this time of unprecedented global change has been the opportunity of a lifetime. I am proud of what I have been able in some small way to help the Trump administration to accomplish". COUGH COUGH..

from article above..

The president’s allies are also likely to use Mr. Morrison’s closed-door interview to try to undercut Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, the White House’s top Ukraine expert, when he testifies publicly next week about his deep alarm over the July 25 call and other matters.

I have read the transcripts of both Williams and Morrison..like night and day...took me most of yesterday afternoon..and this morning to get through both....I was seething reading his disgusting approach to Vindman..timmyboy is a former staffer for rep. Kyl...

The reading of Jennifer Williams testimony - NO, she did NOT

lie for tRump..but she did not disparage the penceman in any way...she did her job..which was to make sure the penceman had the information he needed to talk coherently during heads of state calls and meetings, and to care for the logistics for out of country, or in state travel...she reported to General Kellogg..Jennifer and Gen. Kellogg were on the now infamous July 25th call..

Also in each transcript I have read this statement to them has been expressed

"Fina1ly, to restate what I and others have emphasized in other interviews, Congress will not tolerate any reprisal, threat of repnisal, on attempt to retaliate against any U.S. Government official for testifying before Congress, including you or any of your colleagues".

Now just to add a bit about Timmyboy Morrisons transcript, he heard nothing inappropriate on the call..in fact, during his testimony timmyboy, the Federalist his is, republican staffer for Kyl among his resume accounts, tried to throw Vindman under the bus..our wonderful Democratic Reps would have nothing to do with it..he, Timmyboy, was challenged about his disgusting attempt to disparage Vindman...oh, and he went after Fiona Hill...whom he replaced...

I am looking forward to his open testimony Tuesday..BTW..Timmyboy said he was resigning from govt...see ya timmyboy...
