The raccoon stolen from the Kherson zoo has proven to be very expensive for the Russians as online memes and fundraising have provided Ukraine with even more armaments.

The Fellas, as they are known, are a rowdy band of online comrades with a nose for dog memes who are easily identified by their Shiba Inu profile pictures, are an army, but on the Internet. They comprise the NAFO (North Atlantic Fella Organisation) which has been waging an information war on social media against Russian propaganda, and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Ukraine's armies as they go. When Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelesnkyy United24 initiative asked if NAFO wanted to raise money to pay for a naval drone - and give it a name - they did not take much time to make sure that it happened.
The challenge to the fellas is part of United24's quest to assemble a fleet of 100 sea drones, following what Ukraine says was a strike on Russia's Black Sea Fleet in October exclusively using unmanned vessels. It only took a few weeks for the fellas to raise the $250,000 (£205,000) needed for one such drone, which they have duly named Raccoon's Revenge.

Apparently trying to prove the old cliché about broken clocks and twice a day, Supreme Court Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch defied his 5 Republican colleagues on the bench and authored an honest and factual dissent in this week’s Title 42 case.
He came right out and said the Supreme Court shouldn’t be making policy.
It all started when Section 71.40 of Title 42 of the Code of Federal Regulations was written into US policy by Trump’s HHS Secretary Alex Azar on September 4, 2020.

Search the Constitution, the Federalist Papers, Madison’s notes on the Constitutional Convention, and even the letters and published writings of this nation’s Founders and you will find no explicit reference to Roberts’ mythical “three co-equal branches.”
Just like you’ll not find a single word about the Supreme Court being able to strike down laws or create law or policy from thin air.
In recent years the Supreme Court has legalized bribery of politicians; refused to adopt even a rudimentary code of ethics for itself; and ignored openly seditious and unlawful behavior by its own members and their families. Hours after the House Ways and Means Committee released Donald Trump's tax returns from 2015 to 2020, one of his former biographers told CNN the former president has been taking full advantage of tax breaks he went out of his way to lobby Congress for over the years.
He added he counted 26 tax fraud violations that deserved scrutiny by prosecutors.

Former President Donald Trump responded to the House Ways and Means Committee releasing his tax returns, covering 2015 through 2020. The one-term president paid little, if any, taxes for several years. However, according to the disgraced former president, his taxes "show how proudly successful I have been."
"The Democrats should have never done it, the Supreme Court should have never approved it, and it's going to lead to horrible things for so many people," the former president said in a statement. "The great USA divide will now grow far worse. The radical, left Democrats have weaponized everything, but remember, that is a dangerous two-way street! The 'Trump' tax returns once again show how proudly successful I have been and how I have been able to use depreciation and various other tax deductions as an incentive for creating thousands of jobs and magnificent structures and enterprises."

Shortly after the release of his returns, a Trump fundraising committee sent out a fundraising email with the line, "Urgent: The Democrats unconstitutionally released President Trump's tax returns." The Supreme Court declined to block the release of the returns to Congress.

Shooters Grill, the gun-themed restaurant owned by far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), has closed down and will soon be replaced by Tapatios Family Mexican Restaurant.
The situation is especially delicious considering Boebert's past comments against Mexican immigrants.
Boebert's restaurant closed in July after the landlord refused to renew its lease, The New York Times reported. At the time, the landlord also refused to renew the lease for Boebert's political office which was located next door to the restaurant.

Two Texas businessmen, with ties to former Gov. Rick Perry, met with former President Donald Trump a week after the 2020 election and presented him with a fringe theory that state legislatures could overturn election results, according to the congressional report on the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol that was released Thursday.
The theory fueled one of the main strategies Trump's closest allies pushed to overturn the 2020 election results, even though legal experts, including those within Trump's White House, dismissed the idea as unlawful and said there was no evidence of widespread fraud.
The two Austin-area businessmen, Morgan Warstler and John S. Robison, met with Trump in an Oval Office meeting on Nov. 10, 2020, according to the report. The exact nature of what they discussed was not detailed, but Warstler tweeted in June that he had told the “whole Trump team in Oval” that “State legislatures can choose the electors-no matter what current state law OR state courts say” — in essence empowering Republican-controlled state lawmakers to overturn President Joe Biden’s win.
