So if you don't believe the gop plans all this crap out months ahead of time...

anyone notice how the January 6th hearings have been buried in the news since Friday's SCOTUS news?—I haven't seen anything about it today, EVEN ON DU.

This was a hugely successful gop campaign—and once again using abortion. They've been using the abortion tool for decades. And now with a very important mid-term coming up, they use the ultimate tool: removing Roe v. Wade.

And also note: there are a lot of anti-President Biden posts /comments surfacing on DU, as well.

Don't let the gop gain control while our country is being ripped of rights, and we are heading into a major election.

Does anyone else find it odd, that just a week ago, a bill was passed to keep SCOTUS judges safe.

—a bill put forth by Cornyn, a Texas Republican; and today SCOTUS announces their view on NY's gun laws.
Sounds to me like this one was planned.

L.A. mayoral primary turnout rises as Bass widens lead over Caruso

Source: Los Angeles Times

Turnout in the Los Angeles mayoral primary, which will see Rep. Karen Bass and developer Rick Caruso move to a November runoff, appears to have come in higher than years past.

With nearly all ballots counted as of Tuesday afternoon’s update, turnout had reached about 30% of registered voters in the city of Los Angeles. That’s up from 20% in the 2017 primary, when Mayor Eric Garcetti won reelection with 81% of the vote.

Countywide turnout was 28.4%, and officials said the vast majority of this latest batch of about 43,000 ballots came from people who had voted by mail.

Biden admin will provide Ukraine with longer-range rocket systems

A senior official said Tuesday that Ukraine had agreed not to use the new longer-range rocket systems, called MLRS, to fire rockets into Russia.

President Joe Biden said Tuesday in a New York Times opinion piece that he would “provide the Ukrainians with more advanced rocket systems and munitions that will enable them to more precisely strike key targets on the battlefield in Ukraine.”

The announcement was part of a piece that explained the Biden administration’s goals in Ukraine: “[A] democratic, independent, sovereign and prosperous Ukraine with the means to deter and defend itself against further aggression.”

The White House National Security Council said Tuesday that the “more advanced rocket systems” were longer-range Multiple Launch Rocket Systems, or MLRS. They are capable of reaching Russia, officials said, but are not intended to fire rockets into Russia or be used outside Ukraine.

I'm guessing the claims of a Russian coup was a nothingburger?

Maybe it was just a wartime rumor used to boost moral on one side, and damage it on the other.

Stupidass CNN.com has a lead article with melina tfg saying she believes she'll live in the WH again

What the fuck, CNN?
Has any ex-president WHO LOST been given this much press?

Why aren't you talking about their crimes, CNN????!
A holes. I knew there was a reason I don't go to those major media websites or watch their shows.

They have an agenda. It's to get as much advertising dollars as they can.

And by the way, she found our White House disgusting and didn't live there most of the time. Why didn't you mention that CNN?

It's so great to see unions popping again. A Starbucks in So. Cal now union.

Long Beach, Lakewood Starbucks Stores Become First to Unionize in Southern California.

A Starbucks store in Long Beach and another in Lakewood have successfully voted to unionize, becoming the first stores to do so in Southern California. They have joined two stores in Santa Cruz, which voted to unionize on Wednesday, to be among the first across the state.

Starbucks baristas gathered on Friday to watch over Zoom as a member of the National Labor Relations Board tallied their votes. They had been anticipating this moment since they filed their petition on March 7.

Cheers rang out as the votes came in overwhelmingly in favor of a union. At the Long Beach location on Redondo Avenue and Seventh Street, employees voted 13 to 0. At the Lakewood store on 4833 Candlewood St. near Lakewood Boulevard, 24 voted in favor of a union; there was only 1 no vote. The two stores are joining Workers United as part of the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU.
