About Me
I'm in my 50's. I served 6 years in the Air Force. I've worked in the following fields: Military; Civilian Meteorologist; Dial-Up Internet Service Provider; Equipment Rental; Information Services; Currently working as an electrician. Married for just over 30 years. Was a registered Republican for the first election I was involved in and voted for Reagan. I changed my affiliation afterward and have voted Democrat ever since. I am a Bernie Sanders supporter. Any person that promotes a platform that supports the greatest portion of the American people is a person that I can support. Why would anyone have a problem with that?
The political commercials begin in Florida. Love the accent on the conservative speakers. Very funny how deep the drawl is.
One of the commercials I've seen is saying that the candidate is "fat'n Obama ever day" (Fighting Obama every day). They FAT Obama man... They're fat'n Obama!!!! It's a fat... don't you get it? Fat'n Obama.
James Taylor is scheduled to perform in a neighboring city in April. I haven't gone to a concert in 20+ years, but really wanted to go to this one. I decided to check availability and pricing today and was absolutely astonished at the ticket prices. The cheapest single ticket, which is in the upper upper level is $95.00. Wow is all I can say. I remember when Paul McCartney was playing in Atlanta in the 90's. The cheap tickets were $60 each. I told my wife then, that if John Lennon came back to life and the Beatles got back together, that I wouldn't pay that much to go see them on a reunion tour.
How could anyone justify paying that much for a single ticket, let alone buy a second one for their spouse? Absolute insanity.
I'm a huge JT fan, and as a guitar player, I've taken the time to learn a number of his songs. He's a unique musical performer. An extremely talented guitar player, and song writer. Not to mention his vocal performance, which is astounding. But... I'm not a rich person, so I'll have to set this one out. Sorry James.
I honestly do believe that Bernie Sanders will win the Democratic nomination, and that he will win in the next general election... MEANING... Bernie will be our next president.
I absolutely believe that Hillary Clinton, while being a very decent person... a fine individual, and someone who has devoted the greater part of her life to public service, will lose the nomination in 2016 to Bernie Sanders.
Hillary Clinton absolutely deserves our respect, but her positions just don't represent the problems that we - the American middle, and lower classes are facing.
She is going to lose. I understand that this concept is just not acceptable to some. And for that, and that alone, I apologize.
