Senator Sam - Bridge Over Troubled Water

Looking at Watergate videos I ran across this and had to share. His legacy is a very high bar.

Eighth man in Trump Tower meeting was linked to money laundering

Source: POLITICO

The eighth named attendee at a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting between top Trump associates and a politically-connected Russian lawyer is a business associate of a top Moscow oligarch and was once identified as a key figure in a Congressional money laundering probe.

Irakly Kaveladze, until now the mysterious “eighth man” in the room, attended the meeting on behalf of Aras Agalarov, a billionaire real estate magnate with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin and a Trump family friend. A lawyer for Agalarov has confirmed Kaveladze’s attendance to other news outlets, though he did not respond to requests for comment from POLITICO.

On a personal website, Kaveladze describes himself as the vice president of Agalarov’s Moscow-based real estate company, Crocus Group. According to his LinkedIn account, he lives in the Russian Federation, although public records show that he is affiliated with businesses in New Jersey.

Kaveladze “provides oversight to numerous projects throughout the region and is responsible for the financial structuring of international investment projects,” according to his online biography, which does not mention his alleged role in laundering up to $1.4 billion in the mid-1990s.

Trump: 'We'll just let Obamacare fail'

Source: CNBC

A "disappointed" President Donald Trump said Tuesday he wants to "let Obamacare fail" after the latest Republican attempt to overhaul the U.S. health-care system quickly fizzled out.

"Let Obamacare fail; it'll be a lot easier," Trump told reporters on Tuesday. "And I think we're probably in that position where we'll just let Obamacare fail."

"We're not going to own it. I'm not going to own it. I can tell you the Republicans are not going to own it. We'll let Obamacare fail, and then the Democrats are going to come to us and they're going to say, 'How do we fix it? How do we fix it?' Or, 'How do we come up with a new plan?'"

Hey asshole, peoples lives are at stake.

Higher percentage of Americans want Trump's impeachment than wanted Nixon's as Watergate escalated:

Source: CNBC

A higher percentage of Americans support President Donald Trump's impeachment than supported President Richard Nixon's as Watergate was escalating, according to a Monmouth poll.

Forty-one percent of Americans think Trump "should be impeached and compelled to leave the presidency," versus 53 percent who do not, according to the poll. That compares with 24 percent who supported Nixon's impeachment and 62 percent who did not in July 1973, when the Watergate scandal was escalating and about a year before Nixon resigned.

Support for Trump's impeachment is higher than Nixon's was even though the pair had roughly the same approval rating at those points in time, according to Monmouth.

The telephone poll of 800 people was conducted from July 13 to July 16 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
