McCabe says he ordered the obstruction of justice probe of President Trump

The former FBI acting director tells 60 Minutes about the measures taken to ensure investigations into President Trump wouldn’t "vanish."

"I was very concerned that I was able to put the Russia case on absolutely solid ground, in an indelible fashion," McCabe tells Pelley in the interview. "That were I removed quickly, or reassigned or fired, that the case could not be closed or vanish in the night without a trace."

"I wanted to make sure that our case was on solid ground and if somebody came in behind me and closed it and tried to walk away from it, they would not be able to do that without creating a record of why they made that decision," McCabe said.

OMG! Tapper just mocked the hell out of rump and his Omar hypocrisy. An instant classic!

He was pretending to hold his ear piece, a la Gary Owens from Laugh In style, and telling the control room to "run that clip of the Omar tweet" but they kept running the wrong clip! They kept "mistakingly" running clips of rump's anti-semitic statements.

Can't wait till it's available.

Ex-White House aide Cliff Sims sues Trump over nondisclosure agreements

Source: CNN

Mark Zaid, Sims' attorney, argues in the lawsuit, "The U.S. Government is intentionally and unconstitutionally engaging in a subterfuge effort to use a private entity, Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., to do its bidding to silence Mr. Sims when it is really the intense powers of the Presidency coming down upon a sole individual."

The lawsuit requests a court ruling that Trump "may not enforce, whether directly or through non-U.S. Government cutouts, any nondisclosure agreements that seek to unconstitutionally infringe upon his First Amendment rights."

Trump's first 4 trips to Mar-a-Lago cost taxpayers $13.6 million, watchdog finds

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-trips-to-mar-a-lago-cost-taxpayers-13-6m-watchdog-report/

Four of President Trump's trips to his Mar-a-Lago resort in south Florida during his first months in office cost the U.S. government approximately $13.6 million in taxpayer funds, according to a report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

...

Additionally, the report found that three trips made on behalf of the Trump Organization by the president's eldest sons — Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump — to Uruguay, the Dominican Republic and the United Arab Emirates cost taxpayers approximately $396,000 in pay for Secret Service agents.

...

This alarming report captures a snapshot of the tens of millions of dollars President Trump spends to travel to his Palm Beach resort – all at taxpayer expense – including government funds that are paid directly to a business in which the president himself has a financial interest," Peters, Feinstein and Cummings wrote in a joint statement Tuesday.
