Mayor Pete interview coming up next on CNN

A message from President Obama

Tim Ryan tweet on Toledo

Did he just say Toledo?

China Hits Back at Trump by Weakening Yuan, Halting Crop Imports

China responded to Donald Trumpís tariff threat with another escalation of the trade war on Monday, letting the yuan tumble to the weakest level in more than a decade and asking state-owned companies to suspend imports of U.S. agricultural products.

The moves are likely to further antagonize Trump, who has criticized Beijing for managing its currency unfairly and failing to keep promises to buy more U.S. crops.

Stocks and emerging-market currencies sank on concern a prolonged conflict between the superpowers will weigh on global economic growth, while haven assets including the Japanese yen, U.S. Treasuries and gold climbed. Investors increased bets on Federal Reserve interest-rate cuts.

"Itís among the worst-case scenarios," said Michael Every, head of Asia financial markets research at Rabobank in Hong Kong. "First markets sell off, then Trump wakes up and this all gets far, far worse."

Too bad the dumbass has no idea what he's doing and won't listen to his own economic advisors but it's really not surprising.

Gregory Meeks on Cuomo: Trump is a "terrible, terrible human being"

He ripped the asshole good!

RATcliffe Withdraws.

Another fucking jackass trump nominee bites the dust.

CNN panel of nine Iowa voters weigh in on debate winner.

6 - Booker

2 -Booker and Castro (tied)

1- Castro

(Don't know the polling breakdown but last night they picked Warren)

Castro's been listening to Mayor Pete

Gloria Borger was testing him on decriminalizing border crossings and mentioned that it would be equivalent to open borders like trump has been bloviating about. Castro told Gloria that her question was a right wing talking point. She was taken aback by his response. Then her co-talking head (the black lady whose name escapes me) jumped in stating that Jeh Johnson was opposed to decriminalization. Castro calmly replied, yes and I was disappointed to hear him take this position. Castro continued that he wasn't about to abandoned what is right because of Trump's attacks. He said we need to advocate doing the right thing and explain it to the American people.

Pete's been saying the same thing alll along. Fuck what the Republicans think. Stand up for what is right and sell it to the American people.

We have candidates using right wing talking points against MFA because they fear doing what they know in their heart is right will be used against them in the GE and then we have Kamala who's twisted herself up like a pretzel on the issue. Even Warren fudged on the question about higher taxes to pay for it. She should have just used Bernies answer. Pete and Castro get it. That's a sure-fire losing strategy.

Booker makes the case for why discussion of Biden's '94 crime bill is relevant today.

Because thousands of people are sitting in jail today as a result of the mass incarceration that the bill spawned. Cory wants Joe to recognize this mistake and advocate for direct action to remedy the pain and suffering it has caused. A remedy should be part of any criminal justice reform package.

Without the debates time constraints in his post-debate interview with Anderson Cooper he was able to go into it more completely.
