'We got involved in Afghanistan probably helped create, indirectly, ideas that led to 9/11-That’s life

Did Bill Kristol really just say this?

Because I thought they 'hate us cause of our freedum'

And if this is the case, as they are also suggesting we created ISIS with our interference in Iraq and Syria...

HOW THE FUCK can they possibly suggest any future 'help' for the middle east or anywhere really?

AT the same time, millions are starving, unemployed in this country....and the warmongers call them takers while they want to 'help' the poor Iraqis.

We need to hold some bastards accountable because sociopaths do not stop themselves, they only grow stronger when enabled.

'No Just God Would Stand For What They Did' in Ferguson, nor would a constitutional scholar

America is not God

It states very specifically in the bible that God will judge.

He did not ask America to carry out what America believe is his wishes.

In fact, God might be a little mad about all the lies, and the mindless killing of countless Iraqis...by America!

Was Obama this upset about Ferguson?

Because it is Obama's job to uphold the constitution in this country.

We have so many problems in this country, perhaps we should spend a little time looking at ourselves for a change.

Rick Perry is not the only Governor that should be indicted for abuse of power

hard to believe, but Alaska's governor is even worse

This guy is just opening corrupt, worked for Exxon against the state of alaska after the oil spill, then went on to by a lobbyist for Conoco, then governor when Sarah quit....

Fired assessor claims Parnell aims to stack board for oil industry
http://www.adn.com/article/20140212/fired-assessor-claims-parnell-aims-stack-board-oil-industry

McGee said he received a phone call from a state official in late January informing him that he was to be replaced, but there was no explanation why he was removed. He said he believes the administration is “stacking the board in favor of industry.”

The industry has argued the assessment board has valued the pipeline billions too high. Last year the board set a value of $11.9 billion on the pipeline, while the industry argued for $2.3 billion. McGee said the oil industry failed to get a lower pipeline assessment from the board, which in the past has been staffed chiefly by Alaska appraisers and assessors, but “now they’re trying to replace the board members and see if they get a different result.

“I don’t like that. I think that’s bad public policy and a dangerous thing to have happened,” he said. “With two board members closely associated with industry, I think they would find industry’s argument a lot more persuasive than we have in the past, and that concerns me,” he said.

The governor’s office has not responded to repeated requests for comment on why McGee was fired. A statement Thursday from the governor's office said the two new appointments are to "bring a fresh perspective to the board" and were made without consultation with the oil industry.

Attorney Bill Walker, an independent candidate for governor, said he was disappointed to hear that Parnell had removed McGee, a man who Walker said had become assessment board chairman because he is “one of the preeminent appraisers in Alaska.

“It is shocking the influence the North Slope producers have over this administration,” said Walker, who has represented Valdez in the pipeline valuation cases.

Palin and Alaska Governor at odds over dueling oil tax laws on primary ballot

Palin, who hiked taxes on the state’s oil producers in 2007 with Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share, reminds listeners in a chatty 18-minute video on her new TV channel not to be “suckered” “bamboozled” and “buffaloed” by the likes of ExxonMobil and other oil companies yet again.

In her video -- “Securing Alaska’s Future to Secure Our Nation” -- Palin recounts the corruption among state lawmakers and oilfield services company VECO that led to the passage of ACES. She said experts hired by the state during her administration reported that Alaska had been giving away its resources for years and had been taken advantage of by the oil industry.

Without naming names, Palin says an “oil-friendly administration” and lawmakers, some employed by Big Oil, helped pass SB 21. “Some were workers for Big Oil, some were lobbyists -- that’s what they’d done,” Palin said. Parnell, who introduced SB 21, served as a lobbyist for ConocoPhillips before he became Palin’s running mate in 2006. Meyer and fellow Republican Sen. Peter Micciche played key roles voting for SB 21, which passed the Senate by a single vote and went into effect this year. Both are employed by Conoco, one of the biggest beneficiaries of the law.

Are we really going to be suckered again by Big Oil and some of the crony capitalists with their hands in all this?” Palin asks.

How do we get the FBI on this?

Does anyone remember the photo editor that died in the anthrax attack?

The U.S. Justice Department said this afternoon it was convinced Bruce Ivins, an Army microbiologist, sent the letters laced with anthrax powder that killed five — including Bob Stevens, photo editor at American Media Inc. in Boca Raton — sickened 17, and shut down government offices and media outlets around the country.

"As disclosed previously, the Amerithrax investigation found that the late Dr. Bruce Ivins acted alone in planning and executing these attacks," the Justice Department said in a statement.

In July 2008, the 62-year-old Ivins committed suicide as the FBI was preparing to charge him in the attacks and seek the death penalty.

"The trail of anthrax spores in postal machinery and equipment shows the letter was originally sent to The National Enquirer at its previous address, then forwarded to the AMI building, which contained offices for both The Enquirer and The Sun, and ended up in the hands of The Sun's photo editor, Bob Stevens, 63."

The Enquirer recently published this...

Just a coincidence I am sure.

Interesting that a DUer noticed a change at the National Enquirer

Robin Williams Loved Us Too

Robin Williams made an impromptu appearance at 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley Tuesday night, the comedian's first public performance since undergoing heart surgery in March.

Williams, recuperating from a heart valve operation to correct an irregular heartbeat, had been sitting in the back of the theater during comedian Mark Pitta's weekly comedy night.

"We expected him to just watch," said Lucy Mercer, the theater's founder and artistic director. "He's still fragile, obviously."

But toward the end of the show, the lure of the stage became too strong for Williams to resist.

"I was saying goodnight to the crowd when he walked up, and I'm like, 'no way,'" Pitta said. "It was a total surprise to me. Then he went on to do 30 minutes."

Once he was on stage, the famously manic comedian confessed that he couldn't just sit in the back while other comics made people laugh.

"You know I'm a whore for an audience," he told the packed house.

The 57-year-old comedian is known to be a bundle of sweaty energy while performing, but this time fans became concerned when he appeared to be laboring even harder than usual.

"Ten minutes in, he was out of breath," Pitta said. "He kept saying, 'The doctors said I shouldn't be here. I need another month down.'

"He kept saying, 'My heart is going so fast,' and pounding his chest," she said. "He was so excited just being on stage that he said his heart was jumping all over the place. I was worried that he would keel over right there."

Williams was remarkably candid, talking about his surgery, his doctors and nurses, dealing with pain, other intimate matters.

"Personally, I think it was good for him," Mercer said. "He was really open with people. It was wonderful. This is his community."

Pitta concurred, saying, "At the end of it, in the Green Room, he looked at me and said, 'I needed that.'"

THROCKMORTON GOES DARK

A popular Marin venue where Robin Williams entertained went dark Tuesday night. The staff at the Throckmorton Theater in Mill Valley canceled a scheduled comedy show, and put this note on the window outside:

"Due to the devastating news of the death of our friend, fellow comedian and neighbor, Robin Williams, we are canceling tonight's show as we deal with our extreme grief.

60 witnesses, videos, pics, hospital report to police..Judge Dismisses Sexual Assault Against Homer Men

Three people -- Anthony Resetarits, 22, Joseph Resetarits, 19, and an unnamed juvenile boy -- have been charged with sexually assaulting a drunk teen with an object after the boy passed out on a couch during a large party in Homer.

According to charging documents, after the boy passed out, Anthony Resetarits shaved an “M” in the boy’s hair, and other people at the party wrote on his body with markers. Afterwards, people at the party shouted out suggestions as to what to do next. An unidentified person suggested an obscene act.

Anthony Resetarits then sexually assaulted the boy with an object, with Joseph Resetarits also participating, charging documents state.

Many people at the party -- the estimated attendance was between 60 and 80 people -- witnessed the alleged assault, and some were photographing parts of it. Troopers recovered multiple photographs taken at the party, including one of two men sexually assaulting the boy.
