Vile antisemitism in The Sunday Times article by Kevin Myers. UK's largest national newspaper

"I note that two of the best-paid women presenters in the BBC -- Claudia Winkelman and Vanessa Feltz, with whose, no doubt, sterling work I am tragically unacquainted -- are Jewish. Good for them. Jews are not generally noted for their insistence on selling their talent for the lowest possible price, which is the most useful measure there is of inveterate, lost-with-all-hands stupidity. I wonder who are their agents? If they're the same ones that negotiated the pay for women on the lower scales, then maybe the latter have found their true value in the marketplace."

Trump Just Banned Transgender Soldiers, Claiming They Make Us Less Safe. Israel Begs to Differ.

Today, President Trump announced a ban on transgender soldiers in the country’s military. “After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” he wrote on Twitter. “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.”

There are an estimated 4,000 transgender individuals currently serving in the U.S. military. Essentially, Trump argued that they make America less safe by impeding the effectiveness of its armed forces. But is this actually true? The experience of another elite military suggests otherwise.

Israel—a tiny country surrounded by enemies that has been repeatedly targeted for extermination, leaving it with no margin for error—has drafted transgender soldiers since 2013. Today, the Israel Defense Forces covers the costs of gender reassignment surgery for its recruits. While the IDF allows exemptions from mandatory service for medical, cultural, and religious reasons, it does not consider being transgender a disability or liability.

As the IDF’s top gender adviser told a Slate reporter in 2015, “The goal was that everyone should be in the army, and everyone should be safe and comfortable in the army.” This openness sends a message to the rest of Israeli society, which considers the army one of its most respected institutions. “I think that one of our main goals in the gender affairs office is to spread the word,” explained Lt. Shahar Erez, whose transition was covered by the army. “You know, for kids, who need to join the IDF, they need to know they have a place to go to—that they will get the right kind of treatment.” In 2014, Israel ranked 9th out of 103 countries on the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies’s LGBT Military Index, well above the United States, which came in at #40.

Davis Islamic Center Under Fire After Sermon Translation Surfaces Online (Annihilation of Jews)

The Islamic Center of Davis is under fire after a translation of a sermon posted online said it called for the annihilation of Jews.

The Davis Imam’s two-hour long sermon is mostly in Arabic. According to a translation from the Middle East Media Research Institute, Ammar Shahin calls for the annihilation of Jews, and asks his higher power to liberate the Al Asqa mosque from their filth.

He’s referring to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem where tensions are high after the Israeli government installed metal detectors when a terrorist shot and killed two Israeli soldiers earlier this month. In English, the Imam is clear- praying for a day of judgment between Muslims and Jews.

“He spelled out what he wishes for every Muslim who follows the Quran and the Hadith to follow what the Hadith says which is …find the Jews hiding behind trees and stones and kill them,” said Sorele Brownstein.

Momentum activists attack Labour councillors over antisemitism definition

Councillors said members from the pro-Jeremy Corbyn Momentum group threatened them for supporting the motion

Hard-left Labour activists shouted down Haringey Labour councillors who supported a motion to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism, recognised by the government and now widely used in the public sector.

Councillor Joe Goldberg said members from the pro-Jeremy Corbyn Momentum group threatened him for supporting the motion while other speakers were also shouted down at the meeting on Monday night.

Immediately after the meeting, he wrote on Twitter: “Tonight I sat in Full Council threatened by Labour Party members for voting for motion on antisemitism while speakers were shouted down.”

A Momentum group on Facebook had earlier encouraged members to attend the north London council meeting to oppose the motion.

This Is a Safe Space. No Jews Allowed. Why are some American progressives embracing anti-Semitism?

Are you a Jew in Chicago who’d like to march for LGBTQ rights and gender equality? You’ll have to follow a few rules, helpfully laid out in recent weeks by the Chicago Dyke March and the Chicago SlutWalk.

First, you must not carry any “Zionist displays.” What are Zionist displays? That’s for others to decide. A Star of David might be OK. But if it’s on a rainbow flag, it probably isn’t because “its connections to the oppression enacted by Israel is too strong for it to be neutral.”

Second, you must express solidarity with Palestine. Marching in a parade with a pro-Palestinian stance is not sufficient, nor is advocating for a Palestinian state. As an openly Jewish person, you’ll need to satisfy more heightened scrutiny; other marchers may repeatedly demand that you disavow Israel and swear allegiance to the Palestinian cause. You must comply with these demands or else you will be expelled.

Third, you must renounce any previous connections you have had with Israel. Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of a group with ties to Israel? Repudiate and repent. Openly Jewish marchers are presumed to be in league with the Israeli government unless they can prove otherwise.

One final note: If you are a journalist who covers the implementation of these rules, you deserve to lose your job.

The fight against the new antisemitism. (JEWISH GROUP)

Antisemitism now has three distinct sources:

We face antisemitism on the radical Right. This is the heir of traditional Christian antisemitism, rooted in our alleged killing of Jesus, with a legacy extends from the Spanish Inquisition to the Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan.

We face antisemitism from radical Islam – which draws on a tradition of hatred against the infidel, led by the Jews, stretching back centuries. Since the 19th century with Jews started immigrating to Israel, radical Islam has been determined to eradicate the State of Israel and its Jewish inhabitants, as they occupy a land that the Islamists believe belongs to the Islamic caliphate.

We face antisemitism on the radical Left – which sees Jews and Israel as emblematic of America and Western imperialism and despises us for it.

Too many in the Jewish community don’t recognize this reality. In particular, not nearly enough attention has been paid to the growing alliance between the radical Left and radical Islamists – two groups with seemingly incompatible worldviews.

This strange alliance is encompassed by a new theory called intersectionality – embraced by many on the Left – which calls for the unification of all groups facing discrimination, whether they are Native American, Latino, African-American, LGBT, Arab or Muslim.

Radical Islamists have been able to link their hatred toward Israel, presented as their genuine concern for the Palestinian cause, to the idea of intersectionality, painting Israel as an oppressor that all progressives must fight. In doing so, they work to spread the vilest antisemitic ideas into mainstream discourse.

College students and young professionals in many circles now face a clear choice: exclusion, or joining anti-Israel and antisemitic campaigns.

Working together, radical Islamists and radical leftists have successfully created an alternate reality in which Jews have no rights to self-determination, in which Israel is the greatest violator of human rights in the world, and in which people with extreme regressive views, like Linda Sarsour, are championed as progressive heroes.

Anti-Semitism on rise in Berlin schools

A small-scale study by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) appears to show an increase in anti-Semitism in the German capital's schools, alongside an increase in Salafist tendencies.

Researchers asked 27 teachers from 21 schools in Berlin about the trend, with teaching staff saying they had noted a rise in the number of incidents.

Teachers said the abuse often came from pupils following a strict interpretation of Islam, with the use of anti-Semitic insults - particularly the word "Jew" as a term of abuse - against girls, homosexual students and secular Muslims.

"Anti-Semitism is part of Salafist ideology," said Berger. The AJC director said there was a need for dialogue on the Middle East in schools, adding that many teachers preferred to avoid difficult discussions. While information about the problem was previously sparse, the study's authors said there had already been "warnings from individual teachers and experts over the increasing spread of different forms of Salafism in Berlin schools."

Journalist Who Exposed Chicago Dyke March Details Their Anti-Semitic Harassment Over Her Reporting

Last month, the Chicago Dyke March, a far-left alternative to the city’s main Pride parade, expelled several Jews for hoisting Jewish pride flags featuring the Star of David. The march claimed they were merely being “anti-Zionist,” despite the fact that the Jewish star on the flag far predates the state of Israel. The incident came to the public’s attention through the on-the-ground reporting of Gretchen Hammond, an award-winning transgender reporter for the LGBT-focused newspaper, the Windy City Times. Yet following her explosive scoop, Hammond was quickly removed from reporting duty following outcry from the Dyke March and its sympathizers.

The paper denied the pressure had anything to do with Hammond’s demotion, but over the weekend, the reporter finally opened up about the hailstorm of hate that enveloped her after her story was published. Speaking at a journalism gala in New York on Thursday, Hammond talked about being silenced first as a transgender person as a child, and then as a reporter this past month:

That very evening, the Dyke March tweeted a neo-Nazi slur, defended it, then deleted it. This explicit expression of anti-Semitic bigotry from the march prompted Hammond to open up about similar abuse she’d received from them after publishing her story. Writing on Facebook on Monday about the Dyke March’s Twitter slur, Hammond commented:

"Not remotely surprised and thoroughy [sic] disgusted. They attacked me in much the same manner only using words like ” k*ke” and also said they would “make sure your bitch ass never writes in Chicago again.” Selfishly, I could claim to be vindicated by this disgusting tweet but I feel no cause for anything but the deepest shame that I ever was associated by acronym or by requirement to such vile hatred."

French president Macron condemns anti-Zionism as a new form of anti-Semitism

French president Emmanuel Macron condemns anti-Zionism as a new form of anti-Semitism, in what observers says is an unprecedented statement from the leader of France in support of the Jewish state.

“We will never surrender to the messages of hate; we will not surrender to anti-Zionism because it is a reinvention of anti-Semitism,” Macron says at an event in Paris attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

During a lengthy and introspective speech marking the 75th anniversary of the Vel d’Hiv roundup, a mass arrest of over 13,000 French Jews in July 1942 that was part of the Nazi effort to eradicate France’s Jews, Macron forcefully denounces Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism.

Like several of his predecessors, he accepts France’s responsibility for the deportations, admitting that the Vichy regime actively organized them.
