The bad blood between NYPD cops and Mayor de Blasio became an air war Friday.
A plane trailing a banner reading "DE BLASIO, OUR BACKS HAVE TURNED TO YOU" flew over the Hudson River in a show of disdain for the mayor after two officers were executed in their squad car in Brooklyn last Saturday.
Ashley Chalmers, head of Jersey Shore Aerial Advertising, told the Daily News the people who paid for the message "want to remain anonymous."
But former cop John Cardillo blogged that a "large and unified group of current and retired NYC police officers, detectives, & supervisors" asked him to post a lengthy statement about the plane once it was in sight over the city shortly before 9 a.m.

This is the bad thing. Dangerous, even, if the statement sent to Cardillo (click article link) is authentic.
Edited to add direct link to Cardillo's blog post.
A Goofball and A Reasonably-Intelligent Person talk about "The Interview"
Guess which one gets more camera time?
What Kim Jong Un and Abe Foxman have in common
They both gave massive free publicity to shitty movies that would've gone directly into oblivion otherwise. I'm not going to watch The Interview, just like I didn't watch The Passion of The Christ. But Sony Pictures and Mel Gibson owe 15% of gross to Kim and Foxman, respectively, because you can't BUY that kind of publicity in Hollywood!

Across US, after NYC deaths, a surge of support for police

NEW YORK (AP) Rocker Jon Bon Jovi donned a New York Police Department T-shirt on stage. Well-wishers delivered home-baked cookies by the hundreds to police in Cincinnati. In Mooresville, North Carolina, police and sheriff's officers were treated by residents to a chili dinner.
At a time when many in the nation's police community feel embattled, Americans in cities and towns across the country are making an effort to express support and gratitude.
"I'm showing a little solidarity for my brothers in the NYPD and all of those who protect and serve us every day," Bon Jovi told a cheering crowd at his concert Monday in Red Bank, New Jersey. The surge of support is linked to two distinct but overlapping developments.
The immediate catalyst was the execution-style killings of two New York City police officers as they sat in their patrol car in Brooklyn on Saturday. For many of those making appreciative gestures, there also was a desire to counter the widespread protests steeped with criticism of police that followed grand jury decisions not to charge white officers for their roles in the deaths of black men Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and Eric Garner in New York.

Why is this happening? The two cops murdered in NYC are certainly deserving of praise and support, but overall, police across this country have clearly demonstrated murderous tendencies, including the ones who killed Eric Garner.

Hillary Clinton Support Dips In New Poll
Source: huffington
Hillary Clinton's lead over potential 2016 Democratic rivals has shrunk considerably, a new poll finds.
According to the poll, from ABC News and the Washington Post, 61% of likely Democratic voters say they would vote for Clinton. This is down from last month's lead of 63%, and January's 73%. This latest poll was conducted earlier this month and released on Sunday.
Vice President Joe Biden is a distant second with 14% of the potential vote.
Mass. Senator Elizabeth Warren comes in third at 13%. The same survey last month found that she was only commanding 11% of the vote. In January, that number was only 9%. Warren has repeatedly denied that she is seeking a bid for president.
