Bill Clinton got so mad when confronted with the truth about his record and rhetoric

"Super-Predators" theory was complete fiction made up to scare people into supporting excessive policing.

Bill's record over excessive policing, harsh sentencing, and ramping up the war on drugs.... he was confronted with all this by #BlackLives protesters and he reacted in the worst possible way.

He scolded them like children.

Even though he's already admitted in the past that his policies made things worse, when confronted with the protest he went straight back into his old 90s tough on crime rhetoric and scare tactics that caused the problem in the first place. It was disgraceful. A sad day for democrats and a sad day for America. This will go down in history as one of Bill Clinton's worst moments, and that's saying a lot, because he's already had some doozies. Bill should make a statement.

Hillary's lie about New York guns coming from Vermont

Sorry Hillary, 4 of 5 Years More New York Guns Traced to Vermont than Vice Versa

Having lost six straight primary contests (7 of the last 8) and struggling to regain her composure, Hillary Clinton today launched her most creative attack yet against Bernie Sanders, this time blaming the Senator for guns that end up in New York.

...

Unfortunately for Clinton, the federal government’s own data directly contradicts her claims.

According to ATF statistics, for four years straight not a single Vermont gun ended up in neighboring New York state. Yet during that time, a handful of New York guns made their way across the border to Vermont...

...Not only does the data directly refute Clinton’s claim from the outset, the notion that a U.S. Senator is responsible and should be blamed for policies adopted by their State’s legislature is absurd. Federal lawmakers don’t write state law, an apparently needless fact glossed over by the Clinton’s latest hastily-crafted attack line.

In literally blaming New York gun deaths on Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton is playing a dangerous game. Especially given her willingness to sell guns and weaponry to foreign nations who donated to her family foundation.

Bill Clinton Accuses Black Lives Matter Protesters of Defending Murderous Drug Dealers

America's "first black president" has some detractors among the African-American community of Philadelphia. While rallying support for his wife ahead of Pennsylvania's Democratic primary, Bill Clinton found himself in a shouting argument with a group of Black Lives Matter protesters. The activists crashed Clinton's speech, bearing homemade signs reading, "Clinton's crime bill destroyed our communities," and, "Welfare reform increased poverty." One sign made reference to Hillary Clinton's infamous use of the right-wing trope superpredators — a term that described a "new class" of young black criminals who lacked all conscience and empathy — during her husband's reelection campaign. The former First Lady apologized for using the term when confronted by protesters back in February. Her husband took a different approach.

"I don’t know how you would characterize the gang leaders who got 13-year-old kids hopped up on crack and sent them out into the street to murder other African-American children," Clinton told the protesters. "Maybe you thought they were good citizens. She didn’t ... You are defending the people who killed the lives you say matter."

The former president also defended his welfare-reform act, which several studies have linked to a stark increase in child poverty:

They say the welfare reform bill increased poverty. Then why did we have the largest drop in African-American poverty in history when I was president? The largest in history. What happened was the Supreme Court elected President Bush 5 to 4. Then all these Republicans took over state legislatures. We left them with enough money to take care of all the poor people who couldn’t go to work, on welfare. We left them with the money they had before the welfare rolls went down 60 percent. The Republicans took it away and they’re blaming me, and apparently her, when she had nothing to do with it.

One problem with Clinton blaming Republicans for "taking away" people's welfare is that, without his law, they wouldn't have been able to.
...

Fifteen years after the welfare-reform act went into effect, extreme child poverty had increased by 150 percent.

Why is Bill Clinton doubling down on Hillary's super-predator theory?

Bill Clinton has already admitted that his mass incarceration policies were a mistake and did a lot of harm to the black community and the country in general. Is he back to defending those policies again?

Isn't the "Super-Predator" theory a completely discredited pseudo-scientific fiction made up to scare people into supporting excessive policing?

Today Bill Clinton justified the racist policing and crime policies by saying it was needed to fight crime. That's the same fake argument they used in the 90s when they were scaring people with the superpredator theory.

Everyone agrees crime is bad. The question is how do you fight it. And why are over-policing and mass incarceration the only tools in your toolbox. Bill's comments today were hideous.

Bernie Gets First Wisconsin Superdelegate, State Rep. David Bowen of Milwaukee

Bowen said he hopes his pledge for the Vermont senator shows Sanders supporters in Wisconsin that their voice is being heard.

"There was a clear winner on Tuesday," he said. "I wanted to congratulate the Sanders campaign and let their supporters know that I support their decision to pick the platform of the political revolution."

Sanders defeated Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin’s presidential primary on Tuesday, with 57 percent of the vote to her 43 percent.

Six other Wisconsin superdelegates have pledged their support, all favoring Clinton.

Three delegates remain uncommitted: state Democratic party chair Martha Laning, U.S. Rep Mark Pocan and Democratic National Committee member Jason Rae.
