The single greatest scam of the Trump presidency--

He ran as a US nationalist and against globalism, while he is actually an anti-US globalist in the largest, most brazen and outrageous manner possible. He's putting Russia-friendly policies that help him and his cronies personally ahead of US national interests.

It is a scam on the world stage, and Republicans are letting him get away with it. In doing so, they are letting him commit treason and in so doing, are also committing treason.

Dear Presidential Electors: you have ONE JOB

YOUR ONE JOB is to keep the position of most powerful person in the world out of the hands of an unqualified con-artist narcissistic sociopathic racist sexist sexual assaulting conspiracy theorist ignorant demagogue.

DON'T FUCK IT UP.

Without any one of 3 things Hillary Clinton would have won the presidency

1) Russian hacking and airing of Democratic and Clinton Foundation dirty laundry

2) GOP voter suppression of the African American vote after much of VRA was overturned

3) the October surprise Comey letter

I think she could have won with only two of these occurring-- for instance just the voter suppression and the Comey letter-- but all three were just too much.

There were other things baked in the cake that went against her-- media hostility to her and GOP desperation, but these 3 things were extra things thrown at her, that obviously killed support and I think all together, doomed her.

That's my overall take on this election.

Yes, there were some things she could've have done better and maybe we could've won with a different candidate, but fuck, I think ultimately this election was stolen by sleazy, immoral and treasonous means.

And she still won the popular vote, of course.

Identity politics is a right-wing slur for civil rights

IMHO, no one on the left should use that term except to point out that it's been co-opted by the rightwing and various liberal critics.

I guess the term has been around for a while, but now it's a pejorative. Is there a problem with using good old fashioned "civil rights"???

Now enjoy this Samantha Bee segment that inspired me:

Over 150,000 votes stolen in Michigan according to Greg Palast

https://www.democracynow.org/2016/12/13/greg_palast_by_rejecting_recount_is

75, 000 from "spoiled ballots", but he says 87 machines were broken in Detroit that would have cast about 1,000 votes each. That latter bit by itself would have swung the election to Hillary in Michigan, and he says similar thing happened in Wisconsin.

This is not surprising given what we know about the GOP running the voting there, but is still outrageous.

What is the REMEDY for stolen votes????

Key factors that led to Trump winning, according to my calculations:

30% -- the media's coverage of the campaign, and idiotic focus on Hillary's emails and neglect of issues of substance (e.g. climate change, jobs plans, healthcare). This part includes Comey's late breaking announcement on her emails (October surprise).

20% -- related to hacking by Russia, wikileaks, creating chaos and confusion about the Democrats

20% -- the historical situation of conservatives pissed off after 8 years of Obama and not wanting 4 more years of a "liberal" president (threats of gun control, keeping abortion legal, gay marriage, etc)

10% -- Trump's ability to game media coverage, lie effortlessly and demagogue like a champion

10% -- voter suppression efforts by the GOP

10%-- missteps by Hillary's campaign and her flaws as a candidate

The MAIN POINT is that in a close election, as this last one was, any of these factors could tip it one way or the other. Russian hacking definitely played a role.

Amazing Epic Twitter essay by Eric Garland on Russia and Trump, 20 years history to current

https://twitter.com/ericgarland/status/808045818024497157

I’m now hearing this meme that says Obama, Clinton, et al. are doing nothing, just gave up.

ACTOR ANALYSIS: The Russians enter the Game with a broad objective, flexible tactics, and several acceptable outcomes

Russian interests have been, for many years now, the subversion of Western institutions, principally NATO, but any will do.

This subversion can take many forms: driving wedges between US-Commonwealth-Euro intel cooperation, break up NATO, create chaos.

This game has been developing for many years, is asymmetrical, and much cheaper than building a decent aircraft carrier.

Plus, the Russians f**king rule at covert shit. Always have. Ask a cold warrior. Mucho respect for our adversaries. They do clever work!

Please read the rest. It gets into what America is all about and how we can fight Trump.

Russian disinfo campaign about the Dem primary being stolen, hacked, rigged?

Remember all the crying about the Dem primary being stolen by Hillary and the DNC from Bernie Sanders? This complaint really drove a wedge between Bernie supporters and Hillary voters. I STILL see every day people on Facebook and twitter talking about the election between stolen from Sanders, or that it was rigged.

Remember this report:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6J1ecILnk3UUy1KZ2FUT29iQ1E/view?pref=2&pli=1

Democracy Lost: A Report on the Fatally

Flawed 2016 Democratic Primaries

------------

This was passed around endlessly on Facebook and here as PROOF that the Dem primary was rigged.

What I'm specifically wondering if this report was a Russian propaganda operation.

It was put out by Election Justice USA, which has a website that is still up. However the material only covers the late Dem primary and hasn't been updated since June 2016.

The group itself is shady .here are no names on their website.

Their are some names on the report, but it's not clear who these people are.

This guy looks into some of the names: http://sacredcowwursthaus.blogspot.com/2016/09/election-justice-usa-my-ass.html

http://electionjustice.net/press/
In their press section, they refer to a couple of people. Lulu Fries’dat seems to be a real person but not clearly affiliated with the group. There's a "spokeperson" named Shyla Nelson.

What really raised my suspicions is a link to an Youtube interview with the Young Turks with their "spokesperson" ... except the link goes to "Chthe'ilist - Le Dernier Crépuscule (2016) (Atmospheric Death Metal)"

So the group seems a little suspect, and I always thought it was weird the way the report came together so quickly during the campaign, was clearly inflammatory and sensationalized.

So again-- could this group have been a Russian propaganda operation?

And a related question is how many "Bernie supporters" who promoted this meme online were Russian trolls?

How is ANYONE okay with any of this madness?

Ivanka Trump acting as first lady but still connected to her and Donald Trump's companies.

No divestment from Trump's companies.

Still no Trump income taxes.

Trump being paid by NBC for his stupid reality TV show.

Trump owning a hotel in DC that he cannot legally own as president.

Trump making money around the world from his hotels and other properties.

Rex (evil CEO) Tillerson as SoS, and other bizarre cabinet appointments.

Trump's random whiny tweeting.

Russian interference in our election.

That's just the crap AFTER the election, and leaves out the horrors of the campaign.

I'm about ready to burst.

Obviously liberals are not okay with this but how on earth are Republicans okay? Can we truly finally put away the notion that they are the serious party that guards our country's security?

UPDATE: I did a scan of Foxnews.com and the Drudge report. Of course they are casting maximal doubt on the Russian hack story and no mention of any of this other stuff except for a brief mention of Tillerson.

Russia's Crackdown on religion

http://www.christianitytoday.com/gleanings/2016/june/no-evangelizing-outside-of-church-russia-proposes.html

Update (July 8): This week, Russian president Vladimir Putin approved a package of anti-terrorism laws that usher in tighter restrictions on missionary activity and evangelism.

Despite prayers and protests from religious leaders and human rights advocates, the Kremlin announced Putin’s approval yesterday. The amendments, including laws against sharing faith in homes, online, or anywhere but recognized church buildings, go into effect July 20.

Though opponents to the new measures hope to eventually appeal in court or elect legislators to amend them, they have begun to prepare their communities for life under the new rules, reported Forum 18 News Service, a Christian outlet reporting on the region.

Protestants and religious minorities small enough to gather in homes fear they will be most affected. Last month, “the local police officer came to a home where a group of Pentecostals meet each Sunday," Konstantin Bendas, deputy bishop of the Pentecostal Union, told Forum 18. "With a contented expression he told them: ‘Now they're adopting the law I'll drive you all out of here.’ I reckon we should now fear such zealous enforcement.”

“There are potentially very wide-sweeping ramifications to this law,” Joel Griffith of the Slavic Gospel Association said in a Mission Network News report. “It just depends on, again, how it is going to be enforced, and that is a very huge question mark.”

This is from last July but I just heard about it. With all of the new found love for Russia on the right and by Trump, this is just shocking how extreme it is. I really had no idea.
