When an otherwise thoroughly reprehensible person sees the light...

and calls Don the Con out as the ridiculously inappropriate candidate to lead this country that he is, how should one react?

You certainly don't want to cause them to go back to supporting Don the Con out of spite. So what does one do?

I ask this because I see it happening now and, hopefully, at an accelerating rate in the future. This is not, IMHO, a purely hypothetical scenario.

Trump declines invite to NAACP convention

" Washington (CNN) — Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will not be speaking at the NAACP Annual Convention in Ohio next week, the civil rights organization's president and CEO said Tuesday.

After days of speculation, NAACP's Cornell William Brooks told CNN that Trump had declined the group's invitation to address its members in Cincinnati at their conference, which is being held this weekend.

Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, is scheduled to speak, Brooks told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room."

Even THIS guy dwarfs Don the Con

"...

"At times it feels like the forces pulling us apart are stronger than the forces binding us together. Argument turns too easily into animosity," Bush said. "We do not want the unity of grief nor do we want the unity of fear. We want the unity of hope, affection and high purpose."

For some, a portion of the former president's comments could be viewed as a subtle jab aimed at the presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

"Too often we judge other groups by their worst examples while judging ourselves by our best intentions," Bush added.

Dallas police chief says armed civilians in Texas 'increasingly challenging'

" The Dallas police chief stepped into America's fierce gun rights debate on Monday when he said Texas state laws allowing civilians to carry firearms openly, as some did during a protest where five officers were killed, presented a growing law enforcement challenge/

"It is increasingly challenging when people have AR-15s (a type of rifle) slung over, and shootings occur in a crowd. And they begin running, and we don’t know if they are a shooter or not," Brown said. "We don’t know who the 'good guy' versus who the 'bad guy' is, if everybody starts shooting."

Seeing multiple people carrying rifles led police initially to believe they were under attack by multiple shooters.
