"I mean is Cthulhu an option for the lesser of two evils?" IOWA phone banking story

This is a direct quote from a gentleman whom I surveyed on the phone while making calls for Bernie.

That was his response when I said... "Who is your second choice to Bernie?"

He had no second choice, so he made that statement comparing Cthulhu to Hillary before sighing and said, "Hillary I guess."

I took the moment to comfort him though, I told him hey, I'm feeling the bern too but I've been reading Bernie's autobiography lately and he's been in our shoes. He has stated that even if it's just the same old crap of voting for the lesser of two evils, its still important to make that vote anyways.

So I just wanted to say, from what I'm gathering in my phone calls, I'm getting the feeling people really don't like Hillary and are seriously disenchanted by the idea of having to vote for her.

In other words, I'm pretty sure Bernie's got Iowa in the bag. Lots of love for Bernie, lots of indifference for Hillary.

The most logical and common sense reason to vote Bernie.

Why be in denial of our candidates flaws?

No one is perfect.

But in this primary we don't have a battle that results in the lesser of two evils.

We literally have a candidate who speaks in half truths and nuance and then we have a candidate who spells it out, boisterously and honestly.

We have this candidate who says she's against Citizens United yet she continues to primarily benefit from its ill gotten wealth without even blinking an eye while our other candidate is majorly funded by the people.

We have a candidate who speaks in hawkish terms in a time where war clearly isn't the right answer and we have another candidate who fully understands that war is exactly what the enemy wants and it will benefit no one.

We have one candidate (and I know this is gonna sting a bit for some of you) that says Republicans are the enemy! While the other candidate sees them as coworkers with different (and grossly incorrect) opinions. Who do you think of these 2 candidates would work best with the Republicans?

We have one candidate who has a history of acting on expedience and saying things only when it benefits her most while our other candidate has had the correct opinion for about 40 years.

So what can be said about Bernie? He's okay with the right to bear arms? Fine by me personally. After all he does want stronger and more strict gun laws like any other Democratic candidate.

Theres a SuperPAC that prints literature for him? Hey, at least its not holding up his campaign and since that's the case he's not indebted to their needs, he's indebted to us, the donators. What did he say about Hillary's funders again? Something about "They don't just donate their money and expect nothing in return."

True. Hillary's funders aren't expecting her to use their billions and then work for us. I mean...

That's just common sense.

Either way, neither candidate is perfect.

But one of them isn't the lesser of two evils.

And he just makes perfect sense.

My mail man asked about the Bernie Sanders sign in my yard.

He asked if we think he has a chance.

I told him "Oh yeah. The way I see it is the media tells us one thing while the truth is elsewhere. And the truth is in his favor."

It was a nice moment.

For having a shot at a candidate like BERNIE SANDERS?!

Why are we having a cyber race war that criticizes people regarding their race and how they celebrate Thanksgiving?

Why not just... not think this way? Why not just... Not look at white or black people and think things like "black families cook mac and cheese better, white people get it out of the box" and things like "black people always fight at thanksgiving, white people get along."

Why not just... Shut the hell up and be thankful that you've got your family, instead of comparing your race to others?

So I want to return it... The Premiere account has a feature where they waive the restocking fee and return shipping fee, WONDERFUL. So I signed up for the free trial. I get the promo code to do the free trial. The code doesn't work.

Now I'm on hold for an hour on the phone, just so I can find out if they can fix it on their end. WATCH, they won't believe me, and won't help me.
