retrowire's JournalHelp a Bernie Supporter out
So, these past 2 weeks have been an emotional roller coaster for me.
I've settled now and am firmly feeling that Hillary has my vote in November. Trump is shit.
But I have a problem, it's an honest one and I hope you can help me.
For the past year I've learned and known many things that are wrong with Hillary.
But I want to know the good things she's done that I have been purposefully casting aside as "not enough".
I want to know the accomplishments and beneficial things she has done so that when I cast my vote for her in November, I can feel a little bit better about doing so.
Please don't hate me for being honest.
Thank you.
Solidarity.
ETA: NO I didn't see the convention and haven't watched TV in over 6 years lol.
*Appreciation Thread for all the Appreciation Threads*
Much appreciation. So grateful.
Help my buddy win a local radio competition?
http://radio1057.iheart.com/pages/contest/suicide-squad/d.php?9qJust click the vote button, no need to do anything else. Currently, hes in 96th place, I was hoping we could change that!
Hes a 15 yr old comic book nerd and online buddy of mine. Hes a good kid, so I thought maybe we could help him out?
If he wins he gets to meet one of his idols (the musician for the band that did music for the movie) and gets to see the movie on premiere day.
Thank you for the help!
A thread for apologies.
So, you all know me as an avid Bernie supporter.
And I just wanted to make it known that I still stand with Bernie and the political revolution he started. I won't beat around the bushes here...
I still have trust issues with Hillary. I still feel a sting from how my views and actions have been cast aside and insulted during the primary.
But I also understand that I was passionate as well and I lashed out at others.
The point is, now that Bernie has endorsed Hillary, I want it to be known that I have every intention to follow his lead. I don't have the luxury to allow a Trump presidency and I won't sit comfortably by while risking a nation of emboldened bigots being proven right, that they can legitimately step on the rights of my neighbors of minorities.
Essentially, if Hillary wins, the Bernie's Political Revolution still has a platform.
If Trump wins, then we lose it all. Not only will we be halted, but we'll be backtracked a long ways.
So... To get to it, I'm sorry to the Hillary Supporters that I may have offended during the primary season.
If we are progressives, then let us progress.
If anyone else wants to stand up and apologize, (and this is all in the interest of unity, we've been pretty brutal), then step on up and make amends.
Stand together, right? Let's continue onward.
