Black Grandma...

I just want to know if anyone saw that racist shit "Hillary is like your Black Grandma because..." that was up up here by a Berniebot, applauded by supporters, and quickly scrubbed of the board?

I'm curious about the point of that.

Hillary Answers Students' Call... Visits Keota High School in Iowa.

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/12/22/1462915/-Hillary-Clinton-Visits-Keota-High-School-in-Iowa

This is a wonderful story. High school students Megan Adam, Abby Schulte and Kylea Tinnes from Keota High School in Keota, Iowa were participating in a project to improve their community and they came up with the brilliant idea to bring presidential candidates to their school to talk about small towns. They got Rick Santorum to visit and also Martin O’Malley. But they were really hoping for Hillary Clinton. They called their campaign “Keota Hopes for Hillary” and even created a Twitter account to get more supporters.

Local Hillary campaign organizers brought some of the Keota students to the Jefferson Jackson dinner and they spoke to Hillary at the rope line and invited her. More invitations followed. Hillary Clinton heard their call, she heard it loud and clear, “I am coming to Keota. I am coming,” Hillary promised.

And she fulfilled that promise today. Hillary Clinton held a town-hall meeting at Keota High school. Almost 70% of the entire town showed up.

Sanders Supporters Hijack Fox News User Poll, Give Bernie 41% of Total Vote

http://www.mediaite.com/online/sanders-supporters-hijack-fox-news-user-poll-give-bernie-41-of-total-vote/

Fox Nation, the official user-generated content arm of the Fox News digital media wing, brands itself with “America’s Talking – All Opinions Welcome”. I’m not quite so sure that Democratic-Socialism fits one of those highly touted “welcome” opinions in the largely conservative landscape of Fox, but don’t tell that to the thousands of Bernie Sanders supporters who hijacked an online Fox poll asking users to identify their candidate of choice for the 2016 election.

Fox brands these online questions in the “You Decide” section as “Unofficial polls based on user votes,” and to be fair, this particular online question leaves out much of the crowded 2016 field. In fact, only five Republican candidates and two Democrats make the cut for users to vote on.

However, out of 38,174 votes by the time of this article being published, it would appear as if those Feeling the Bern’ are letting their voices be heard loud and clear to the Fox Nation audience.

This is pretty funny, but is very telling about the HUGE margins of wins of online voting he's getting for debates.

Muslims shield Christians when Al-Shabaab attacks bus in Kenya

http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/22/africa/kenya-bus-attack-al-shabaab-muslim-christians/index.html

(CNN)Their M.O. is a tried and terrifying one: Launch a raid, single out Christians, and then spray them with bullets.

But when Al-Shabaab militants ambushed a bus Monday, things didn't go according to plan.

A group of Kenyan Muslims shielded the Christian passengers and told the attackers they were prepared to die together.

The Muslim passengers, who were mostly women, told the Islamic militants to kill them all or leave them alone, witnesses said.

Spox: ‘Hell no,’ Clinton won’t apologize to Trump for ISIS remark

http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/spox-hell-no-clinton-wont-apologize-trump-isis-remark

A spokesman for Hillary Clinton says “hell, no,” the candidate won’t apologize to Donald Trump for calling him “ISIS’ best recruiter.”

“Hillary Clinton will not be apologizing to Donald Trump for correctly pointing out how his hateful rhetoric only helps ISIS recruit more terrorists,” said spokesman Brian Fallon in a statement.

In Saturday night’s Democratic debate, Clinton suggested that ISIS is “showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”

Politifact rated the claim “false,” saying that - while experts say that ISIS could be circulating Trump’s sentiments to bolster their arguments that the West is at war with Islam - there’s no evidence to date that his rhetoric has been used in recruiting videos.

On the TODAY Show on Monday, Trump said that he would demand an apology from Clinton for her remark.

“She lies about emails, she lies about Whitewater, she lies about everything. She will be a disaster about everything as president of the United States,” he said.

Asked on Meet the Press on Sunday whether or not he would change his language if his words were being used in ISIS recruitment videos, Trump offered a firm no.

“No, because I think that my words represent toughness and strength. Hillary’s not strong, Hillary’s weak, frankly,” he said.

New PPP Polls: Hillary Performs Better than Bernie Against All GOP Contenders

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/12/21/1462470/-New-PPP-Polls-Hillary-Performs-Better-than-Bernie-Against-All-GOP-Contenders

One of the things Clinton supporters (such as me) say is that Clinton is not only more competent and experienced, but electable. She’s been in the spotlight a quarter century yet despite the huge attacks, still does well. She also doesn’t call herself a “socialist.” Sanders supporters would try to attack that by claiming that her unfavorables (not job approvals) were too high and that sometimes, Sanders polled better than HRC. They also argued that once people got to know him, he’d do even better.

Here are empirical data to bear out the truth.

Link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/293784795/Public-Policy-Polling-national-poll

General Election: Trump vs. Clinton PPP (D) Clinton 46, Trump 43 Clinton +3
General Election: Cruz vs. Clinton PPP (D) Clinton 45, Cruz 43 Clinton +2
General Election: Rubio vs. Clinton PPP (D) Rubio 44, Clinton 43 Rubio +1
General Election: Carson vs. Clinton PPP (D) Clinton 45, Carson 45 Tie
General Election: Bush vs. Clinton PPP (D) Clinton 44, Bush 39 Clinton +5
General Election: Trump vs. Sanders PPP (D) Sanders 41, Trump 43 Trump +2
General Election: Cruz vs. Sanders PPP (D) Sanders 41, Cruz 42 Cruz +1
General Election: Rubio vs. Sanders PPP (D) Sanders 39, Rubio 42 Rubio +3
General Election: Carson vs. Sanders PPP (D) Sanders 41, Carson 41 Tie
General Election: Bush vs. Sanders PPP (D) Sanders 41, Bush 42 Bush +1
Clinton beats 3 out of 5 and ties one. Sanders loses to 4 out of 5 and ties one. Sanders does worse against Rubio, and both tie Ben Carson.

The point: Bernie’s barely been in the GOP crosshairs; he doesn’t exist to them CURRENTLY. If he were to be the nominee, those numbers would get worse. Hillary’s been in the spotlight for nearly a quarter century and even today, when Obama has middling approvals (not below 40% where Dems are fucked but not above 50% where pop vote win is virtually guaranteed) and GOP has more media time, she’s STILL winning!

Hillary News & Views 12.21: Debate Highlights and Analysis, and Prioritizing Millienial Women

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/12/21/1462345/-Hillary-News-Views-12-21-Debate-Highlights-and-Analysis-and-Prioritizing-Millienial-Women

Today’s Hillary News & Views begins with some coverage of Saturday night’s Democratic debate.

Wall Street Journal reports:

In the third Democratic debate Saturday, Mrs. Clinton largely looked past her two primary foes and injected Mr. Trump into the conversation, denouncing his ideas as wrongheaded and potentially dangerous.

“I worry greatly that the rhetoric coming from the Republicans, particularly Donald Trump, is sending a message to Muslims here in the United States and literally around the world that there is a ‘clash of civilizations,’ that there is some kind of Western plot or even ‘war against Islam,’ which then I believe fans the flames of radicalization, ” Mrs. Clinton said.

CNN reports:

"We also need to make sure that the really discriminatory messages that Trump is sending around the world don't fall on receptive ears," Clinton said.

"He is becoming ISIS's best recruiter. They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists," she continued.

Clinton appears to be well positioned to ease through the Democratic primary and take the fight to her preferred targets in the Republican Party.

"You know, everybody says every election's important, and there's truth to that. This is a watershed election. I know how important it is that we have a Democrat succeed President Obama in the White House," Clinton said in her closing statement, before making a quip which suggested that the restoration of tried-and-tested franchises from another era -- be it in movies like Star Wars or in politics -- could work.

"Thank you, good night and may the force be with you."

An Explanation of What Bernie Sanders Staffers Actually Did and Why It Matters

By David Atkins

http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal-a/2015_12/an_explanation_of_what_bernie059035.php

After a spat lasting just over 24 hours, it appears that the top news story of the day is already resolving itself: the DNC has come to an agreement to return voter database access to the Bernie Sanders campaign after top staffers were caught snooping into the Clinton campaign’s records.

The brouhaha over this little fiasco has been intense, and made worse by the fact that only a few thousand people in the United States understand anything about the voter tools involved. Few journalists—to say nothing of armchair activists—have enough campaign and field management experience to truly understand what happened. That ignorance has led to wild accusations and silly reporting from all sides, whether from conspiratorially-minded Sanders supporters or schadenfreude-filled Republicans.

The first thing to understand is that NGPVAN is a creaky voter database system that looks, and feels like it was put together in the 1990s. It has been the mainstay of Democratic campaigns all across the country and has intense loyalty among national campaign professionals—though it should be noted that the California Democratic Party uses one of its more robust and more expensive competitors PDI (PDI, hilariously, sent an email this morning to its users with the subject line “At PDI Data Security Is Our Top Priority.”) I myself have extensive experience running campaigns on both platforms, both as a campaign consultant and as a county Democratic Party official in California.

The DNC contracts with NGPVAN, meaning that firewalls between competitive primary campaigns within NGPVAN are incredibly important. But they also have been known to fail. When that happens, campaign professionals are expected to behave in a moral and legal manner. But they would also be stupid not to, since every action taken by an NGPVAN user is tracked and recorded on the server side.

Sanders camp, the perpetrator, shapeshifts into victim

By Blankbeat

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/12/18/1461715/-Sanders-camp-the-perpetrator-shapeshifts-into-victim

As has been pointed out repeatedly, there has been a common charge against DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz: she’s in the bag for Hillary. So wouldn’t the last thing she would want to do is fuel that narrative?

Seems to me Debbie is doing exactly what the Bernie campaign would expect if the shoe was on the other foot.

Shockingly, though, Bernie Sanders is currently exploiting his campaigns theft of Clintons data for political donations. The fact Bernie is currently fundraising off stealing Hillary’s data is proof that if this wasn’t a crime, Debbie wouldn’t be foolish enough to feed the charge she’s in the bag for Hillary because it has only fueled Bernie’s most loyal supporters.

Unfortunately, the false narrative Bernie is a victim of this situation is being spun by Bernie’s camp to manipulate his supporters against the “evil” DNC (even though the Bernie camp is the one that committed the crime in the first place and are now portraying themselves as the victim — very clever!). Point is — Debbie wouldn’t foolishly fuel this narrative if it wasn’t for a legitimate reason.

There is simply no other remedy at this point because the Sanders campaign has accessed information they can manipulate with the DNC database. Until an independent investigation can be conducted, all the information is returned, and all 4 users associated with the incident are fired, the punishment should stand.

Granted, the Sanders campaign has done a masterful job of shapeshifting into the victim. Though let’s not forget who the real victim is: Hillary Clinton’s campaign that had both their data and strategy stolen by the Bernie Sanders campaign.

Clinton Spox: Sanders Camp Was ‘Stealing Data,’ ‘Like Kids in a Candy Store’

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/clinton-spox-sanders-camp-was-stealing-data-like-kids-in-a-candy-store/

The Hillary Clinton campaign went on the offense tonight over the Bernie Sanders campaign improperly accessing their voter data. A Sanders staffer was fired for accessing the data and the DNC cut off their access to the data server.

The Sanders campaign is insisting they did nothing wrong and the DNC is overreacting, and they filed a lawsuit tonight against the DNC to get their access back.

Brian Fallon, a Clinton campaign spokesman, called into CNN tonight, very angry about the reported 24 separate intrusions by the Sanders campaign. He said this was a clear “act of theft, stealing data from the Clinton campaign,” and Sanders isn’t living up to that “different kind of campaign” he promised.

“They were very productive,” Fallon told Wolf Blitzer. “They were like kids in a candy store, Wolf. They had about 40 minutes where they ran wild.”

He called the lawsuit “an act of chutzpah” and said the Sanders staffers attempted to save some of the data locally.

Immediately following that, Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver adamantly denied the accusation and said nothing was printed or downloaded.
