Sanders Campaign Raises $20million in One Month - NYT

Any early momentum in the early contests Mr. Devine said in an interview, would trigger even more donations.
“I’m talking tens of millions of dollars in a period of a couple of weeks,” Mr. Devine said.
To put that January fund-raising figure for the Sanders campaign in perspective, Hillary Clinton’s campaign said it raised $37 million for the last three months of 2015.

The Plot:
Frodo (The Voters) have been entrusted with the One Ring (Electoral Power) and has been sent on a quest to Mt. Doom (The Election). While on his way, Frodo and his trusty companion, Sam (Bernie), encounter Gollum (Hillary). They learn that Gollum once possessed the Ring of Power and that it corrupter her, but she's cunning and convinces them to let her join their fellowship. Sam is not convinced and remains skeptical of Gollum's intentions. As Mt. Doom draws near, Frodo becomes ever more conflicted on who to trust. Sam encourages him to destroy the Ring, but Gollum is less open about her intentions. Secretly, Gollum plots to regain the Ring and says anything to gain Frodo's trust. At the steps of Mt. Doom, with the Hobbits weary from their long Journey, Sam takes Frodo on his shoulders and leads him to the fiery chasm where the Ring is to be destroyed. But that's where Gollum drops the facade and tries to take the Ring. A battle ensues between Frodo and Gollum, both under the influence of the Ring's power, but ultimately Gollum's lust for power undoes her as she falls into the flames of Mt. Doom clutching at the Ring with an outstretched hand. With the ring destroyed, the veil is lifted from Frodo's mind, and he and Sam return to the Shire friends once again.

They publicly questioned whether the most progressive candidate in the field viewed racial justice as a nonnegotiable demand. The optics were messy, but he heard us. He prioritized a racial justice platform. He spoke out, in speeches and debates, about Sandra Bland and declared that black lives do matter. He heard us, and I believe he’ll continue to listen.
We aren’t the first generation of black Americans to rise up and demand our human right to life, and we won’t be the last. But I know a better world is possible. I know that once we come together, we are powerful beyond imagination. Sen. Sanders knows this too. He’s learning from us, working with us and respecting the power of we, the people, over the established political machine.
I remember another candidate who dared me to believe in hope and change. His opponents said he wasn’t ready for leadership. They said he couldn’t win. He said, “Yes, we can.” And we did.
I still believe we can. That’s why I endorse Bernie Sanders for president.

The new regulation would open up the set-top box market to consumer choice so that customers could rent or buy devices from providers other than their cable companies. About 99 percent of cable customers currently rent set-top boxes from their cable company. According to a survey commissioned by Sens. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), cable customers pay an average of $232 a year for those rentals -- a $20 billion market annually, just for set-top box rentals.
Set-top box fees have soared, even as prices for newer technology have plummeted. Consumer payments for set-top boxes are up 185 percent over the past two decades, according to FCC estimates, even as prices for laptops and cell phones have fallen.
Up to $14 billion of the total market is economically pointless profit for cable companies, according to an analysis by the Consumer Federation of America and Public Knowledge, a nonprofit Internet freedom group. Big cable companies including Comcast and Verizon have leveraged their market power to charge prices far higher than what would be permitted in a competitive industry.

Clinton goes Negative on Bernie in Closing Iowa Ad

"[Clinton] will build on Obamacare, not start over, break through the gridlock, not add to it, defend Planned Parenthood, not attack it, stand up to the gun lobby, not protect it, lead on foreign policy, not ignore it," the narrator adds in a not-so-subtle knock against the Vermont senator.

It's not enough to steal Bernie's positions leading up to debates, but now she has to steal his campaign rhetoric also? Oh well, I got a chuckle out of seeing her yell at a small crowd bowling alley trying to drum up excitement.

And does not belong in a Democratic forum. Everybody here who is criticizing Bernie for wanting to increase taxes knows exactly what they're doing, and it has nothing to do with advancing a Progressive agenda. They're trying to distort an issue that is at the core of Progressivism and it's frankly disturbing.
