Police: Teen who got pepper sprayed at Donald Trump rally in Janesville wasn't sexually assaulted

Doesn't look good if true...

JANESVILLE -- A 15-year-old girl who was pepper sprayed outside a Donald Trump rally in Janesville earlier this week was not sexually assaulted as she originally claimed, police said Thursday.

Video showed the girl getting pepper sprayed after she claimed someone in the crowd outside the rally groped her. Police reported that information in a press conference after the rally Tuesday, calling those "point-in-time comments" that were "based upon victim statements."

Police recommend charges for teen pepper-sprayed outside Trump rally

The 15-year-old pepper sprayed at a Donald Trump rally earlier this week may face charges of disorderly conduct for allegedly punching a man in an altercation captured on video.

Police in Janesville, Wis., where the rally took place Tuesday, are recommending juvenile authorities bring charges — even though the man the girl allegedly punched doesn’t want to press charges, according to The Associated Press.

The girl alleges the man touched her chest, but police said Thursday they found no evidence to support that.

House bill wants to crack down on prepaid 'burner' phones

As if we don't have enough government surveillance already, now we need more...

A Californian lawmaker is pushing new legislation that would crack down on prepaid "burner phones," which she says are used by terrorists and other serious criminals.

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA, 14th), who represents the San Francisco and the Bay Area district, introduced the legislation this week requiring prepaid phone retailers to collect information on the buyer at the time of purchase, such as their name, address, and date of birth.

The information would be verified by a credit card, or a Social Security number or driving license number -- mirroring similar obligations on those who sign up for a long-term phone contract.

In a statement, the Democratic lawmaker said the draft bill, dubbed the Closing the Prepaid Mobile Device Security Gap Act of 2016 (or HR 4886), would help track terrorists and serious criminals because prepaid phones "can be purchased without identification and record-keeping requirements."

"This bill would close one of the most significant gaps in our ability to track and prevent acts of terror, drug trafficking, and modern-day slavery," said the statement.

Woman That Stepped Between Dog and Cop About to Shoot Acquitted

Another Jack Booted Thug "protecting and serving".

Subhuman POS belongs behind bars... not behind the wheel of a patrol car.

A woman from West Virginia has been acquitted on the obstruction of justice charges she was facing for trying to step in between a dog and the police officer who was about to shoot him. Tiffanie Hupp was arrested for her efforts, and State Trooper Seth Cook claimed that he was just doing as he was trained.

Cook claims that West Virginia state troopers are all trained to kill any dog that approaches them in the course of their duty. It doesn’t matter if the dog is aggressive or charging, or chained up with a wagging tail, like Buddy was on the day the incident took place.

The police hadn’t even been called to Hupp’s family’s property for anything that had to do with a dog. They were called in to respond to a heated dispute between her father-in-law and a neighbor. Also, it was Hupp’s family who called the police in the first place.

When Cook arrived on the scene, he went over to talk to the neighbors first. After he was finished, he walked over to Hupp’s property and that’s when Buddy started walking to him. Then the trooper pulled his gun on Buddy and was about to fire before Hupp stepped in between them, stopping the officer from shooting

After stepping between the officer and the dog, Hupp was arrested. She was put in a patrol car, and that’s not all the officer did that was a little questionable.

After he put me in the patrol car and arrested me, he just walks up the trailer and up to the phones and, whatever devices were on chargers, he took them,” she said. “He took my husband’s phone, he took my phone, he took my sister-in-law’s and my son’s tablet. And we don’t use those phones or tablets anymore. If my phone leaves my hands and goes into the hands of a cop, I kinda don’t trust that. Without that video, it’s just my word against a state trooper. Nobody is going to believe my word over law enforcement.”

It took almost a month of constantly calling the police department to get their devices back. At first, they were refusing to return any of the devices unless Hupp or her husband gave up the password protection on their phones. This would have allowed them to search the phones without a warrant, something they are not allowed to do.

Harvard Law School recommends removal of school seal tied to slavery

Enough already!
This 'micro-aggression' thing is getting out of hand.

A Harvard Law School committee recommended on Friday the removal of the school’s current symbol, which is modeled on the family crest of an 18th-century slaveholder.

The law school’s dean, Martha Minow, established the committee of faculty, students, alumni, and staff in November after a student group called “Royall Must Fall” demanded the school replace what they called a blatant symbol of the slaveholding era. The seal, which features three bushels of wheat on a shield, bears the crest of the former slave-owning Royall family, whose donation helped establish Harvard’s first law professorship.
