TARIN KOT: The Taliban are using young boys as sex slaves to mount crippling insider attacks on police in southern Afghanistan, exploiting the pervasive practice of "bacha bazi" — paedophilic boy play — to infiltrate security ranks, multiple officials and survivors of such assaults said.
Even as ISIS attacks and kills men for being gay - the terrorist group says homosexuality is unIslamic - the ancient custom of "bacha bazi" is still practiced across Afghanistan. Nowhere does it seem as entrenched as in the province of Uruzgan, where "bacha bereesh" — or boys without beards — widely become objects of lustful attraction for powerful police commanders.
The Taliban over nearly two years have used them to mount a wave of Trojan Horse attacks — at least six between January and April alone — that have killed hundreds of policemen, according to security and judicial officials in the province.
"The Taliban are sending boys — beautiful boys, handsome boys — to penetrate checkpoints and kill, drug and poison policemen," said Ghulam Sakhi Rogh Lewanai, who was Uruzgan's police chief until he was removed in a security reshuffle in April amid worsening violence.

Report: Belgian Police Receive Warning Of ISIS Cell Headed To Europe

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Belgian police have received an anti-terror alert warning that a group of Islamic State fighters recently left Syria en route for Europe planning attacks in Belgium and France, a Belgian security source said on Wednesday.
The Belgian crisis center in charge of coordinating security responses said an alert had been circulated to all police forces in the country but there were no immediate plans to raise the security level to the maximum that would indicate an imminent threat of an attack.
A source at France’s Interior Ministry said Belgian authorities had transmitted a note to their French counterparts, who were currently reviewing the information in the alert. “We know the threat is very high,” the source said. “We’re reviewing all the elements (in the alert).”

Orlando Shooter’s Wife Reportedly Knew Of His Plans For Attack

The wife of Orlando gunman Omar Mateen said she knew her husband was planning an attack, multiple outlets reported Tuesday, citing anonymous law enforcement officials. She may now face charges.
Noor Salman Mateen, the gunman’s second wife, told the FBI that she was aware of his plan for a mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, but didn’t notify authorities, according to local TV station WFTV. She said that she tried to discourage her husband from carrying out the attack, NBC News reported.
Authorities are considering criminal charges against Noor Mateen, according to ABC News.
Omar Mateen killed 49 people and injured another 53 at the nightclub early Sunday morning. He died in a shootout with police.

As she danced between a mirrored floor and swirling disco balls, however, Laura suddenly began to feel sick and blacked out, according to her attorney. When she regained consciousness, she was in a stranger’s apartment building. Her clothes were torn.

At a high school in Florida, students watched the horrors of Sept. 11, 2001, unfold on live TV. When the second hijacked airliner slammed into the World Trade Center’s south tower, the class watched in stunned disbelief. But one student, a classmate recalled, “started jumping up-and-down cheering on the terrorist.”
That was sophomore Omar Mateen, according to one of the accounts from Martin County High School remembering 9/11 and the reaction by the student who, nearly 15 years later, would carry out the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
The recollections of Mateen’s actions could not be independently verified, and the memories could be clouded by the years that have passed. But they appear to offer yet another stitch in the wider tapestry of Mateen’s life and views before Sunday’s rampage, which included his pledge of loyalty to the Islamic State during a call to police during the standoff .
In an interview, Robert Zirkle, then a freshman at the Martin County school, said he saw Mateen excited and making fun of how America was being attacked on 9/11. “He was making plane noises on the bus, acting like he was running into a building,” Zirkle recalled. “I don’t really know if he was doing it because he was being taught some of that stuff at home or just doing it for attention because he didn’t have a lot of friends.”

Islamic State: Orlando shooter soldier 'of the caliphate in America'

The Islamic State appeared to claim responsibility for the shooting in Orlando that killed at least 50 people, saying in a radio broadcast Monday that "one of the soldiers of the caliphate in America" carried out the attack at a gay nightclub in Florida.
While American-born Omar Mateen, 29, from Fort Pierce, Fla., pledged his allegiance to the Islamic State in a 911 call shortly before the assault, police say it is not yet known whether he had any direct contact or support from the extremist group. Mateen was born in New York, but was of Afghan descent.
