I just don't believe this stuff about "deepening tensions over missile strikes."

I think it was a scheme to lull American voters into thinking Trump and Putin have a bad relationship. Russia was notified. Were there any injuries? Was the airbase made inoperable????

Every time I hear a story about "tensions" I think, yeah, yeah.

Does anyone know the status of ItStarts.Today?

The kind of situation described in the post below is what made me get excited about ItStarts.Today (see link at bottom of this post). The idea is that all donations are rounded down to an amount evenly divisible among all Democratic candidates through 2018. The idea is to not pre-judge where life might bubble up. It looks like pre-judging Kansas was a mistake. Anyway, early on I inquired of ItStarts.Today about what was happening, and got an e-mail response. Now I don't get a response, and there's no info on their web site. I'm hoping I'm not getting a response because they got too big. Does anyone know?

Is it true that the DCCC is short of funds?

A poster in another thread thought this might be the case. Google isn't helping me. If it is short of money I have to wonder why. All the reports on fundraising I've read re left wing groups indicate the money is flowing very well.

Does anyone know?

This was a possible explanation for why the DCCC didn't help Thompson more. (At all?)

Has "holocaust center" been used in any other context?

Or did idiot (or worse) Spicer just invent it on the spot?

Where the hell was Perez and the "new" DNC??

As I understand it, Trump won the Kansas 4 by 30 points. Is that true? And if Thompson lost by only 7, wouldn't it have been a really good investment for the Kansas state party and the DNC (or DCCC) to have invested in this race?

I think it's a good investment to healthily support EVERY Dem race. I thought that's what Perez meant when he talked about a 50 state strategy. We can't build up the party over time if we ignore some races.

Do I have my facts right here?

Where can I follow the Kansas special election?

Usually The Upshot has good info. Maybe they will after the polls close?

Does anyone have any exit poll or turnout info?

This remains a continual puzzle to me. (Behavior on DU.)

I posted this question about how authorities are supposed to handle situations when they must remove someone from a place. In the first link below I tried over and over to emphasize that my question was isolating a little piece of the United flap.

But still someone responded to a question I was trying not to address. (Reply #131). This happens over and over in DU. And elsewhere, of course. I don't have hopes of trying to change it, but I do wonder if other DUers are as bothered by it as I am.

Soap opera time!! Hubby or Daddy?

We deserve a break from the weighty issues of the day. How about vegging out on the couch and engaging in some speculation with no redeeming social value?

Timothy O’Brien, who wrote “TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald,” pointed out that Chris Christie and Rudy Giuliani both lost favor for having high profiles. In that light, Bannon’s appearance on the cover of Time magazine may have sealed his fate. O’Brien told CNN’s Anderson Cooper:

OK, so when Jared gets too much good press, who wins, hubby or daddy?
