LAS14's JournalPost Labor Day Hillary.
A few days ago I read an article somewhere saying that HRC's campaign thinks she is more relaxed, more at ease with the press, etc. While I've never thought she was noticeably un-relaxed or in need of change, I did notice that she may not have said "Well, you know..." at all, or at least rarely in last night's forum and today's press conference. Am I imagining things?
Link to today's full press conference.
Do we know who is on first in the Commander in Chief forum?
I'm glad the race is tightening at this point.
The biggest danger is that people will become complacent and stay home. This puts an edge on things. We may get more money, volunteers and voters on election day if there's a memory of this week's polls. Plenty of time to fight back now that the real race has begun on Labor Day.
Handouts for canvassers.
When canvassing it is often difficult to address people's concerns about the various smears directed at Hillary. They're too complicated, and it's too hard to remember reliable sources to site. Often we've never bothered to come up with rebuttals because they were so absurd on the face of it. One way to address this is to carry along photo-copies of good articles. The first one below is a great summary. The other two are about e-mails. I've seen a couple of other good summaries, but, unfortunately lost track of them. If anyone has links to such, please post!

More MSM stories about press coverage?
The recent post here*, the Soledad O'Brien/CNN story, the Paul Krugman column, all within the last week, make me wonder if the MSM hasn't finally begun to wake up to their habit of mistaking stupidity for objectivity.
What do you think?

$2700 or $100,000
How can there be fund raisers with a $100,000 per person ticket price when the limit for giving is $2700?

I'm feeling more and more respect for the Clinton campaign's...
.. decision to lie low in August. Sure, it lets Trump step all over himself, and it does let the sharp edge of the latest e-mail fit dull (what was the latest, anyway???), but it also creates anticipation. Where's Hillary? Why doesn't she say something? All they've got to talk about is how long since her last press conference.
So now she's making headlines by irrelevancies like sharing the plane with reporters (apparently SOP for campaigns some time after they officially begin.) And her appearances today and those of Biden, Kaine and Bill are being covered.
And we didn't get tired of her. I bet even Trump supporters are getting tired of him.
I'm looking forward to an exciting couple of months.
The demographics of this election show that...
... we MUST put more resources into education. I've felt this all along, but more and more polls are screaming it at us.
The more the smears pour on...
... the more I come to believe that Hillary's practice of paying them as little attention as possible is the right one. I used to worry about how to defend her when canvassing, but now I'm thinking that the public may begin to get the point as the attacks grow more and more desperate.
Now I wish I could think of a way to articulate that in a canvass stop...
