Hayward, Rodgers Creek faults connected

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The most dangerous earthquake fault in the San Francisco Bay Area is connected to another, which means both could rupture simultaneously and unleash major devastation, a new study finds.

The Hayward Fault has long been considered a threat because it runs under densely populated neighborhoods east of San Francisco. The new work found that beneath San Pablo Bay, it joins with a second, less active underground fracture to the north.

I can't help but wonder...

...what if Bernie "had" been the nominee?

I don't know if anybody else sees this, but (re: Trump logo)

The white space between the T, P intersection makes an "H" and the nose of the P sort of could be like an arrow. Is this a subliminal message to vote Hillary?

Penny Dreadful fans?

If you have Amazon Prime and want to watch another good series, check out "Fortitude" -- and especially if you like Dr. Victor Frankenstein. I've been watching Fortitude for several episodes, convinced that Dr. F is in it, but ... whaaaa....? Guess what? There are TWO of them:

Yes, twins, Luke and Harry Treadaway.

Oh, and Fortitude is worth watching no matter what. Takes place in Norway (?) on an island where people aren't allowed to die.

(ok, they can die, just not there. Or rather, can't be buried there, since nothing decays there. Which is the premise of the show, that a melting permafrost had unearthed a long-dead animal carrying some sort of disease that is now afflicting the townsfolk).

Check it out.

Deadwood: The Movie (really?!?)

Yes! Says Ian McShane here:

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/06/05/game-thrones-ian-mcshane-hound

One project you mentioned earlier, we keep hearing there’s a Deadwood movie in development and David Milch is working on that script. Are you willing and able to reprise your role as Al Swearengen given your other commitments, and what’s the latest you’ve heard on that?

Yeah! Of course I’d love to reprise that. How could one not, when it was snatched away rather unjustly by a combination of forces we’ll never know about? Hubris or money or whatever. But [Deadwood] certainly finished too early. At the time, most of us working on the show were incredulous. It’s been announced by HBO, so its not like I’m saying it. I know for a fact David is working on the script. It’s been 10 years since it finished. [Star Timothy Olyphant’s] free from Justified. I’m hoping they’ll make the deal soon, for two or four hours, whatever they decide on. It was a very close knit group of actors on it. We got along very well. I’m sure David will decide to set it 10 years later, after the great fire or whatever happened in Deadwood. They haven’t done the deal yet. They [were planning] to do it late this year or early next year.
