When the Supreme Court announced its decision against the Texas abortion law, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s Twitter account was silent. Just half an hour later when Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) took the podium at a Cincinnati rally and attacked Trump calling him out for whining on Twitter about “fat pigs” or “dummies” who oppose him. Trump’s Twitter account still sat silent.

Instead, Trump’s campaign sent out a press release and the candidate spoke to an NBC News reporter where he refrained from calling Warren “Pocahontas,” as he has in the past, and instead called her the racist.

CNN wasn’t shocked. They didn’t assume the alleged “thin-skinned,” “bully” had finally spontaneously combusted in anger. Instead, the panel rejoiced that the self-professed billionaire had finally matured.

“He has been calling Elizabeth Warren, ‘Pocahontas,’ repeatedly,” Brianna Keilar said. “This is the more grown up way to put what he is — what his allegation is.”

Nia-Malika Henderson agreed, saying that it was a kind of “mature version of a non-fifth grade version of the ‘Pocahontas’ — what some people think is an insult.” It is unclear if she meant that Trump had graduated to more middle-school attacks like “I know you are but what am I.”

I’m tired of hearing that Hillary’s smiling, joyful, and proud voters are somehow less important than people who are “angry at the system.” We can express a will for change with positive emotions. We can rise up in joy instead of rage. Look at these faces and you’ll see intensity like you’ve never seen before.

Does this platform committee thing seem fishy to you?

The committee crafted a lengthy platform and then on the final day in front of cameras, the Bernie folks come out with amendments on major issues that were already settled in the platform. Smells like a publicity stunt. There is no way that trade, healthcare, Israel/Palestine, and the minimum wage weren't discussed/hashed out before the final day.

Every aspect of this video is fantastic, but a few things stick out:

The tank tops (mostly American flag-themed, though one is for SigEp Rush).
The cheesy fake EDM bed music.
“Politics is supposed to be boring. So, when three 18-year-old kids are driving out to go to a Trump rally: That’s a movement!”
They have the names of characters in a Thomas Pynchon novel about a country club: “Turner Eakins,” “Tate Moyer,” and “Brody Buck.”
They talk about his “un-PC” rhetoric like he’s Seth MacFarlane.
“In school we learned about how America was great, you know, a while ago or whatever. And I kinda want to live through that as an 18-year-old.”
