WASHINGTON
. . . Nadler and several of his fellow Judiciary Democrats confirmed during a news conference Wednesday that their investigation has reached a point where they are considering whether to draft articles of impeachment against the president.
From my personal standpoint, I would say were in an impeachment investigation, Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin said, noting theres no statute or House rule governing what form an impeachment inquiry must take.
Rep. Eric Swalwell agreed, noting that the House efforts to impeach former Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton took different forms.
This is an impeachment investigation, the California Democrat said of the Judiciary Committees current probe into Trumps alleged crimes and misdeeds.

"theres no statute or House rule governing what form an impeachment inquiry must take"
We are on the road to impeachment, or Presidential nervous breakdown, or both.
Today we have seen an "escalation" and "crossed a threshold" to an impeachment inquiry.
According to today's Judiciary Committee press conference, the court filings today for access to grand jury material and the actions coming for Don McGahn next week are an escalation in the committee's investigation of presidential malfeasance etc.
The c-span video at this link is 2 and 1/2 minutes of the end of the press conference and Representative Sheila Jackson Lee makes a very good summary of the status today of the road to impeachment.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In 2018, the Cybereason Nocturnus team identified an advanced, persistent attack targeting global telecommunications providers carried out by a threat actor using tools and techniques commonly associated with the Chinese-affiliated threat actor APT10. This multi-wave attacks focused on obtaining data of specific, high-value targets and resulted in a complete takeover of the network.
- Earlier this year, Cybereason identified an advanced, persistent attack targeting telecommunications providers that has been underway for years, soon after deploying into the environment.
- Cybereason spotted the attack and later supported the telecommunications provider through four more waves of the advanced persistent attack over the course of 6 months.
- Based on the data available to us, Operation Soft Cell has been active since at least 2017, though some evidence suggests even earlier activity by the threat actor against telecommunications providers.
- The attack was aiming to obtain CDR records of a large telecommunications provider.
