About Me

God of lies. Like math.

Trump has been invited to meet Kim Jong Un

He will accept.

This is a terrible idea and a trap.

Crazy theory: Gowdy told Schiff

That Nunes altered his memo.

God I hope this is true.

Suspect that Wray found something in memo

That was actionable against McCabe.

Could be nefarious on a Wrayís part, or McCabeís part or simply misleading enough to cause the FBI headaches.

(On edit Since some people canít suss out these several options here they are in detail)

Iíll clarify the options for your benefit

1) Itís possible Wray is a bad actor.
2) Itís possible McCabe is a bad actor. If so itís probably a paper handling level error but one the Rs can demogogue. Have to acknowledge the possibility
3) Itís also possible that entirely disingenuous allegations are more trouble than its worth for the FBI.

The "deal": Not terrific, but could be worse. Taking CHIP off the table is not nothing

Think of this has a hostage negotiation. There were two hostages, CHIP and DACA. One hostage is now freed.

We haven't WON. But we are in a slightly better negotiating position than we were 24 hours ago.

Of course McConnell will renege somehow on the DACA vote. And DACA's chances in the House were always slim.
But we have two weeks to make our political case on this.

This Barton story is nonsense.

Iím not even sure what he did wrong here? Had a consensual relationship with someone while separated from his wife?

Even if he wasnít separated from his wife at the time, whoever leaked these photos should see jail time.

Senate won't let Trump make recess appointments

Source: CNN

(CNN) Senators are planning to continue procedural moves to prevent the Senate from formally adjourning for recess next month in order to prevent President Donald Trump from making recess appointments, when the chamber eventually adjourns through the Labor Day weekend.

Using the threat of a filibuster, Democrats plan to force the Senate to hold pro forma sessions ó a practice both parties have carried out to block recess appointments from presidents of opposite party, Democratic and Republican aides say.

This, at least, is good news.

Ossoff lost because he is a Democrat.

That's it, really. I don't think there is any other reason. The one thing that unites most Republicans, well, it isn't tax policy. And it isn't racial resentment. It isn't even hating "the gays".

It's that they like to see Democrats lose. It's a trip for them. The idea that Democrats might celebrate, might be on top for once, is too much for many of them to tolerate.

Oh, and this tweetstorm, https://twitter.com/JoyAnnReid/status/877362133855371264 makes a related point.
