Jingle Ball tickets for the grandkids in December, hubby and I might have been able to go to a World Series game. I was checking out ticket prices at 6am and watched cheapest seats go up $100 as I browsed. I'm just not going to pay close to $2,000 (with fees) to sit where we can't see the ball anyway.
We'll see it better on TV.

OMG! A baby has been named after me!
My granddaughter just had a baby an hour ago and when I asked my son her name, he said Octavia Gayle! Mine is the second name. I am shocked--SHOCKED, I tell you, by how much this means to me. She is my tenth great-grandchild.
Ok, now I know why people do this. I have a strong urge to give her gifts and favor her forever. Lol
Selling bunk beds on Facebook's Marketplace.
Holy shit. 445 views in the first two hours. Private messages by the dozens. Who knew white bunk beds would be in such demand! One appointment set up and they already cancelled. Somebody coming tomorrow but will they show up? This is crazy.

What a festive atmosphere. Our daughter gave us great seats behind home plate. My hubby knew better than to buy a Sam Adams so had to settle for a Bud. Lots of Yankee fans here. Go Red Sox!
Butternut squash question
My daughter insists on peeling hers raw. I microwave it and then peel it. My way is 1,000 times easier and I'm sure that recipes using either method would taste the same. I'm wondering what other people do.
I got tickets to see our First Lady!
November 24 in Boston. Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama. I don't know how intimate it can be, at TD Garden, lol. Even with my app open at 10am on the dot with a presale code, I had trouble getting tickets and had to go up several price ranges to get in. I'm very glad she's so popular, but I wish ticket scalpers weren't so successful in grabbing tickets instantly. Or maybe it was mostly individual fans like me? I hope so.
Oatmeal and chicken salad
My husband eats oatmeal at Starbucks and brings me the Nut Medley packs for my yogurt. I told him to try ordering oatmeal and ten nut packs, and then say hold the oatmeal... like a weak imitation of one of the best movie scenes ever.
Oh great, I have to ship a box to NC tomorrow,
to a rural address (related to eBay). It should arrive on Thursday but who knows. This is minor compared to the emergency situation people will be facing, of course, and I just hope they make it through this safely.
I'm walking to the Warren/Pressley rally right now.
Three miles for the exercise, through Harvard Yard, stopping at Au Bon Pain for an iced tea. I voted for Mike Capuano but he lost, and I'm looking ahead and not backwards. I don't have a way to post pictures but I'll be taking some.
