True Dough
True Dough's JournalHow much longer will Trump be in office?
What does your gut tell you in regards to Trumpy's numbered days in the White House? Will we have to endure another two months? Six months? A year?
I'm looking forward to the finale of The White House Apprentice with "You're fired" being shouted at Trump, but how long until he gets evicted?
Nationals fire sale underway???
Looks like they could part with some big-name talent...
Harper is one of at least three Nationals players to have been claimed, including second baseman Daniel Murphy and outfielder Matt Adams. Castillo notes that Mark Reynolds, Matt Wieters, and Gio Gonzalez had also been placed on waivers.
While the team that claimed Harper is not known, National League clubs do have the first opportunity since waiver claims are league-preferred. Washington, notified on Sunday of the claim, has 48 hours to either work out a trade with the team or pull Harper back from waivers.
The 25-year-old Harper is set to become a free agent for the first time this offseason, and avoided arbitration this past winter by signing a one-year, $21.6-million deal plus incentives. Over 122 games this year, Harper is posting a .246/.380/.511 slash line with 30 home runs and nine stolen bases.

Father, son attempt to drive through wildfire
Talk about a harrowing journey!!! Would you have been more like the son or the father?
The fire began to explode around them, and Bilton and his father jumped into their rental car, trying to escape, but were trapped by the flames.
Bilton said on Facebook: "We hiked back to the car to get out where it was parked at the end of a dead end road. We had just driven this road (safely) 3 hours before to get in and it was our only way out, apart from trying to stay ahead of the fire on foot. After we were stopped by the downed tree, we reversed back through all of this and were rescued by two park employees on a boat. They saved our lives."
The two people on the boat were Jess Kimball, a tour boat captain on Lake McDonald, and an intern ranger at Apgar named Dave. Justin continued: "When my dad decided he was going to get out to move the burning tree I was most scared because I didn't think I could stop the stubborn old man! He's def cool under pressure. We were camped down a trail that continued from the end of a dead end road and the fire was between us and the only way out. Had to reverse all the way back through all that to get back to the trailhead and down to the lake. The car burned shortly after we abandoned it and got rescued by a boat that just happened to be there."

Eagles Greatest Hits now the #1 selling album of all time
Overtaking Michael Jackson's Thriller. I'm not all that fond of the The Eagles. But I'll have to wait quite a while before someone comes along and steals the record away from them (possibly not in my lifetime).
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recently recalculated sales of the best-of collection and certified the LP as 38x platinum, pushing the 33x platinum Thriller to second place, the Associated Press reports. The RIAA confirmed the new certifications to Rolling Stone.
The RIAA last tallied Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975s totals in 2006, when the album was 29x platinum; since then, streaming and digital downloads have dominated the music industry. Greatest Hits new certification takes into account total streams, downloads and traditional sales since 2006. Thrillers totals were reportedly updated in 2017.

Vatican On Sex Abuse Report: 'Listen, No Normal Person Is Going To Sign Up To Be A Priest'
Oh, The Onion, you have nailed it again...
Look, we ask an awful lot of ordained priests and make them follow all these bizarre rules, so it shouldnt be surprising that we have trouble finding people who arent degenerate creeps, said Pope Francis, adding that although the Vatican would encourage members of the clergy to stop engaging in child abuse, there ultimately wasnt that much they could do since the Churchs mandate of celibacy and its tacit acceptance of child abusers basically turns away all well-adjusted, reasonable people at the door.
Its only gotten worse over the years because regular people would much rather have actual experiences in the real world than be cooped up in a rectory insisting that theyre married to God or whatever. Wed bet that if we relaxed the rules, reformed the power dynamics, and allowed priests to marry and have sex, we wouldnt be overrun by monsters who cant function in normal society, but were not going to do that, so its just going to be a bunch of freaks and deviants from here on out. Honestly, the way the Church currently operates is pretty much designed to appeal only to sick fucks who know theyll get away with moral atrocities, if you think about it.
Vatican officials also defended priests who have been accused of child abuse over the past several decades, saying that at this point, given all of the available information, only an incredibly negligent parent would allow a child to be associated with the Catholic Church in any way.

God didn't save this pastor from being bitten by a snake
S-s-s-stupid!
Cody Coots is the pastor at the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name church in Middlesboro, Kentucky - one of Americas last remaining snake-handling churches.
During his sermon, Pastor Coots can be seen handling a snake as he preaches to his congregation.
While holding the creature aloft, it snaps it jaw at the preachers ear - causing blood to splatter down his light-blue shirt. Unconcerned, Pastor Coots continues his speech, telling the members attending the service to: Keep playing and Im not worried at all. Gods a healer, Im not worried.
