The Browns officially finish 0-16

Cleveland had a chance for a late 4th quarter TD to take the lead over the "backup" Steelers but blew it. Now they join the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only other 0-16 team in NFL history.

OUCH!

Barack Obama shares his favorite books and songs of 2017

From his Facebook page:

During my presidency, I started a tradition of sharing my reading lists and playlists. It was a nice way to reflect on the works that resonated with me and lift up authors and artists from around the world. With some extra time on my hands this year to catch up, I wanted to share the books and music that I enjoyed most. From songs that got me moving to stories that inspired me, here's my 2017 list — I hope you enjoy it and have a happy and healthy New Year.

Johnny Manziel may be bound for the Canadian Football League

Hey, Warren Moon made his mark in the CFL first!!! Doug Flutie tore it up in the CFL after failing to stick in the NFL.

Johnny Manziel has clearance to resume his pro football career in Canada.

The CFL announced Thursday it would approve a contract for Manziel should it be negotiated with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who hold Manziel’s rights.

In August, the former Heisman Trophy winner worked out for the Ticats, who passed on making him an offer. But Manziel’s camp activated Hamilton’s 10-day window, forcing the CFL club to make a decision on whether to sign, trade or release him.

The CFL then stepped in and extended the window for further evaluation.

The following month, Manziel met with commissioner Randy Ambrosie to discuss a resolution, which included Manziel having to fulfil certain requirements to join the league. Shortly aftewards, the CFL announced the Ticats would hold Manziel’s rights until Nov. 30 before extending it again into January to continue with its due diligence.

Obama Xmas tweet far more popular than Trump Xmas tweet

For all you non-Twitter types, this stuff is just silly, I'm sure. But the beauty of it is that you have to know it drives Don the Con CRAZY to know that his Christmas message is being overshadowed by his much greater predecessor!

President Donald Trump tweeted a video wishing viewers a “MERRY CHISTMAS!!!” on Monday morning, but a photo that his predecessor, Barack Obama, tweeted a couple hours later was far more popular.

In his tweet, Trump said he and first lady Melania Trump were “delighted to wish America and the entire world a very merry Christmas.” As of late afternoon on Monday, Trump’s tweet had received more than 128,000 likes and more than 34,000 retweets.

Obama’s tweet—a picture of him with his wife and two daughters, standing in front of five adorable children—with the caption, “We wish you joy and peace this holiday season,” got more than 724,000 likes and more than 149,000 tweets.

Trump has 45.1 million followers, less than half of Obama’s 98.2 million.

Give the devils their due???

What has come of years of debate in this forum?

I haven't been following this theological battle royale all that long, but I see the same group of atheists/agnostics repeatedly debating the same small band of "faithful" DU members in threads with many similar themes, often covering the same ground.

My questions:

1) Has anyone on either side ever been "converted" to the opposing team?

2) Do you foresee yourself trying to persuade the posters on the other side from here to eternity???

The Trump Christmas card compared to the Obama Christmas card

Dolt 45 had to make his card "yuge!"

And doesn't Melania's signature look strikingly similar to Don the Con's?
