Gaetz, Bannon discuss plans to take over government with "shock troops'

Talking openly of their treasonous intentions. Honestly, it's people like these two cretins who will incite more bloodshed.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) on Thursday talked with conservative broadcaster Steve Bannon about a plan to use "4,000 shock troops" to take over the jobs of federal government employees.

Bannon has previously said that the so-called "shock troops" need to be prepared prior to Republican control of the executive branch.

"People didn't like that Donald Trump raised his voice but sometimes you've got to raise your voice to raise a ruckus and to raise an army of patriots who love this country and will fight for her," Gaetz said on Bannon's War Room program. "We're going to operationalize the performance to go right after the people who are imposing the vaccine mandates, who are enriching themselves and who are selling out the country."

"Understand, this is a theory of governing," Bannon agreed. "It's fresh and it's new. This is Trumpism in power. That's when we went to the 4,000 shock troops we have to have that's going to man the government. Get them ready now. Right? We're going to hit the beach with the landing teams and the beachhead teams and all that nomenclature they use when President Trump wins in 2024 -- or before."

Would you volunteer to have a chip implanted in your brain if it benefited you while disabled?

And, if so, would you change your mind knowing that Elon Musk is behind the initiative?

In a Wall Street Journal interview, controversial billionaire engineer Elon Musk announced that Neuralink, his brain-interface technology company founded in 2016, hopes to start implanting microchips in human beings as early as next year.

This chip is used to link neurons in the brain to any kind of computing device, in order to record and stimulate cerebral activity. Intended for quadriplegics and sufferers of brain or spinal injuries, the chip would allow people to communicate their thoughts via computers and mobile devices.

“As users think about moving their arms or hands, we would decode those intentions, which would be sent over Bluetooth to the user’s computer,” the website states . “Users would initially learn to control via virtual mouse. Later, as users get more practice and our adaptive decoding algorithms continue to improve, we expect that users would be able to control multiple devices, including a keyboard or game controller.”

During a live-streamed interview at the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit, Musk said the chip is working well in monkeys. The company is doing extensive testing to confirm that it’s “very safe and reliable”, and that the device can be safely removed.

Singers you like solo but not as part of a band, or vice-versa

I'm not a fan of the 1970s group The Band. Just don't care for their tunes. And yet I like Robbie Robertson's solo material such as:

Last member of Easy Company (Band of Brothers) has died

And with him goes the final connection to an era of unparalleled courage.

Col. Edward Shames, the last surviving officer of the historic World War II parachute infantry regiment of the US Army known as Easy Company, died Friday at the age of 99.

Shames “passed away peacefully at home,” said the obituary posted by the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home & Crematory.

During World War II, Shames “was a member of the renowned Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division now known globally as the ‘Band of Brothers,’” according to the obituary. The story of Easy Company was later immortalized in the HBO miniseries “Band of Brothers,” based on The New York Times bestseller by Stephen E. Ambrose. (CNN and HBO are part of WarnerMedia.)

Shames “was involved in some of the most important battles of the war. He made his first combat jump into Normandy on D-Day as part of Operation Overlord,” according to the obituary. Shames “gained a reputation as a stubborn and very outspoken soldier who demanded the highest of standards from himself and his fellow soldiers,” it said.
