How much should we worry about people leaving blue states for lower taxes in red states?

I mean, if enough Dem voters populated red states with close votes, they could swing it in the right direction. That would be the upside. Thoughts?

New Census Bureau numbers released last week reveal an unmistakable trend: High-tax blue states are losing residents to low-tax red states. Are elected officials listening?

Each year, U.S. Census officials release an analysis of migration patterns. The most recent report -- which looks at data from July 2021 through June -- paints a clear picture of Americans moving out of progressive bastions.

The 10 states with the most net domestic population loss have a bright blue hue: California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Minnesota. Meanwhile, the 10 states that enjoyed net domestic population increases have a decidedly red tinge: Florida, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Arizona, Idaho, Alabama and Oklahoma.

Trump's tax returns vs. Hunter Biden's laptop

https://twitter.com/AshaRangappa_/status/1608895578276265987

Asha Rangappa:

So if releasing Trump's tax returns pursuant to a lawful statutory process is a major invasion of privacy, releasing the contents of someone's entire hard drive that some rando computer guy copied to the entire world is even worse, right? I'm just trying to keep up

Luka Doncic posts first 60 point, 21 rebound, 10 assist game in NBA history

I'm not the biggest basketball fan, but that "triple double" is MIGHTY impressive. Doncic is only 23 (he turns 24 in February) so he probably has a lot more greatness left ahead of him.

Doncic's 60 points tied the record for the highest-scoring triple-double in NBA history, matching James Harden's 60 for the Houston Rockets in a Jan. 30, 2018, win over the Orlando Magic. Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain (twice) and Elgin Baylor are the only other players to grab at least 20 rebounds during a 50-point triple-double.

That earned Doncic a dousing from teammates armed with dozens of water bottles as he entered the locker room after the victory.

"To do something that's never been done before, that's hard to do," Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said. "There's been some great players before him. Elgin Baylor and Wilt, he was in that class, and then he separated himself and made his own class."

As much as Doncic's statistics pop out of the box score, it's not necessarily shocking that he put up those kind of numbers. He is only 23 years old, but he already has six career 40-point triple-doubles, tying LeBron James for the fifth most in NBA history. Doncic has scored at least 50 points in two of his past three games, hitting the marker in Friday's road win over the Rockets.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has a chance to avoid his first losing season

He's in his 16th NFL campaign. Worst he's done is 8-8 (three times).

For a while, this season looked like it would surely be Tomlin's first with a sub-.500 record. Pittsburgh was 3-7 at one point.

But they're now sitting at 7-8 and they close out the year in Baltimore and at home to Cleveland. Two winnable games.

Things have become trickier for Tomlin to maintain his streak because finishing .500 is no longer a possibility with the expansion to a 17-game season.

Let's look back on the heralded Reagan era by Republicans...

And yet they crap on Biden's performance? It's night and day!

Reminder: Zelensky's last visit to the United States

Volodymyr knew what was up.

Here's Trump pressuring Zelensky to make a deal with Putin.

What a fresh-faced Ukrainian president he was at the time, new to the role and looking so young, but he knew the danger that Russia posed and he was aware that Trump was in Putin's back pocket. Years later, Zelensky has shown that he's a truly brave LEADER, battle-hardened, fighting to maintain his country's independence. He's witnessed terrible destruction and loss of life. And Trump remains a snake, trying to benefit himself.

So glad Joe Biden will be hosting Zelensky today.
