If only Biden wore a dead animal on his head, spray tanned his face orange and snorted Adderall while tweeting at 2am, he might look and sound as healthy as Donald Trump. 
What it really means to "address" Biden's age
Ok we get it. Biden is old. Polls show people are worried. Pundits are frantically writing articles about how we Democrats are in denial and refuse to address the fact Biden is 80 years old.
So let's get real. Joe Biden and his supporters cannot change his age. So what would addressing Biden's age and voters concerns actually look like?
1. Biden is the incumbent and is running for re-election. So addressing his age would mean Democrats forcing him to drop out of the race or running against him in the primaries.
2. Biden isn't going to do that. He enjoys being leader of the free world, has worked his whole life to get to this point and is rightky proud of his record thus far as President. And no Democrat is going to run against him based solely on the fact he's too old. Ageism isn't a a great campaign message.
Basically Biden's critics want an LBJ moment. For him to announce on TV that
he will not seek and will not accept the nomination of his party for another term as President.
Anybody really, truly believe he's ever going to give that speech?
Also. if Biden actually did drop out VP Harris would be his most likely successor and then the, "Kamala is too unpopular to beat Trump" firestorm would begin not to mention along the racism and misogyny.
Would you rather Trump be jailed or banned from running?
Would you rather see Trump be convicted in all 4 trials and sentenced to prison or banned from ever holding public office again because of the 14th amendment or a plea agreement?
I'd love to see both happen but considering this is Teflon Don & Cult45 we're talking about I could easily imagine...
He gets convicted in the DC criminal case by summer, immediately appeals and continues to run for President like nothing happened. Or he could actually be placed on house arrest and still campaign and some masochistic Americans will still vote for him.
My biggest hope is to see him banned from holding office again. Put an end to his political career. No more hate rallies, shady fundraising, online harassment, refusing to concede, coup attempts, etc... That's the only way this country is ever going to truly heal. Especially considering Trump is never, ever going to stop running for President (2028, 2032... until he drops dead).
At this point I don't think using the 14th amendment is a realistic solution since the right wing SCOTUS will most likely block it even if under the constitution they shouldn't.
Here's my wishcasting...
Jack Smith and the Justice Department offers Trump a plea deal. They'll drop the charges in Florida and DC if he agrees to be permanently banned from ever holding elected office again.
Or they could offer him a 10 year ban. Which would make him 88 years old before he can run again.
I know it's a pipe dream. But the fact is we know Trump is scared to death of getting criminally convicted and spending the rest of his life in prison. As he becomes more desperate the odds have him making a deal to make all these cases go away will increase. His only "get out of jail" card may be cutting a deal.
Dare to dream.
Why are Republicans forcing Trump on us (again)
Why can't Republicans just nominate someone else for President? Why do they want to torture us with another Trump campaign when polls show 65% of the country hates his guts?
Making America endure yet another year his self inflicted legal problems (witch hunt!), hate rallies and demented social media posts.
I get that his supporters hate Democrats and want to "own the libs" but come on. The joke's gone too far. Establishment Republicans need to stop working on his campaign and cut off his donations.
Consider this liberal owned. Now Republicans HAVE to nominate someone else to lead their "Grand Old" party. 8 years of Trump's psychosis is enough.

Quite the rap sheet. Trump couldn't get hired as a manager at Wal-Mart but Republicans want to give him back the nuclear codes.
Somebody needs to stage an intervention. 
Garland is never going to satisfy the red hats
He needs to stop trying. The Justice Department should have learned that lesson after the Comey and Hillary's emails debacle. You can open a thousand investigations and appoint a hundred special counsels. The blood thirsty DC MAGA brigade will still hate you and want you and your department shut down.
The only thing that will satisfy Republicans is if Joe Biden is impeached and removed from office for having a drug addict as a son.
By appointing special counsels to investigate President Biden and his son Garland has guaranteed they're going to get harassed by prosecutors for years. Even though both matters were and could easily have been handled in house and resolved quickly.
All these special counsel appointments do is create a false equivalence between Trump and Biden's criminal exposure. The public and media are going to cover this as Trump vs Biden: Who's corruption is worse?
Unfortunately Garland won't or can't effectively communicate with the American people exactly why these 2 investigations are different. So the media has to fill that void with their whataboutism. And the Biden administration can't defend themselves or they'll be accused of interfering with the Justice Department.
At the end of the day the Biden classified documents and Hunter Biden's business dealings investigations are true nothing burgers. The true witch hunt is being waged by Republicans in congress against the President and his family. 
What if Trump doesn't win the nomination?
Every political pundit and pollster is certain criminal defendant Trump has the Republican nomination locked up 6 months before even the first primary.
But voters are often unpredictable. Especially with a field this large. And 6 months is a long time in our ADHD political landscape where voters can't remember what happened in the news an hour ago.
Either way if Trump doesn't win the nomination one thing is certain:
He won't concede and will claim voter fraud and election interference. And he absolutely won't endorse or campaign for the new nominee. Which is where the fun begins. 
If Trump isn't the nominee all his criminal and civil trials can proceed at a normal pace. Prosecutors and judges won't have to consider the "political implications" or how court dates might impact the defendant's campaign.
Trump would be nothing more than the Defendant at that point. And he'll be trashing the Republican nominee who could potentially pardon him if they win.
It's an unlikely scenerio but fun to think about. 2024 could be the worst year of the orange dotard's long, corrupt life. 
How many Americans have read the indictment?
How many Americans do you think have actually read or listened to the 45 page indictment? Or are even aware of the charges?
Jack Smith couldn't have made it any easier. It's only 45 pages long with bullet points and is double spaced. And numerous outlets have an audio version available now.
I'm trying not to be pessimistic but betting on the intellectual curiosity of the American people is risky. Maybe if Jack Smith released 30 second Tik Tok videos explaining the evidence people might get it.
Some day this Trump war is going to end
To borrow a quote from "Apocalypse Now" some day the war on American democracy started by Donald Trump and his supporters 8 years ago is going to end.
Either in 1 year or 5 years.
Even if the doomsday scenario happens and he is elected President again. He can only serve one more term.
God willing the more likely end to Trump's reign of terror is that he loses the general election to President Biden in 2024.
He is then convicted by juries of multiple felonies in Manhattan, Miami and hopefully DC and Fulton County. And sentenced to what would effectively be life in prison. Not to mention the dozens of civil lawsuits that could bankrupt him.
At that point he'll be a 80 year old convicted felon in financial ruin. And his biggest fear will be a reality: to go down in history as the biggest LOSER in US politics. 3 time loser of the popular vote, twice impeached, convicted of trying to defraud the United States government, etc.
Either way Trump and his christofascist cult aren't going to be in our faces forever. I just hope to live to see the day he and his supporters are swept into the dustbin of history like the Nazis and confederacy. 
RE Hunter Biden: What would satisfy Republicans?
Seriously what do Republicans want to happen to Hunter Biden? What would satisfy Trump and his MAGA base?
He's been investigated for 5 years by a Trump appointed prosecutor and Republicans in the House and Senate. He's been relentlessly hounded by the right wing media ecosystem. All over business matters he engaged in nearly 10 years ago when Joe Biden was Vice President not President.
Life in prison? The death penalty? Detained and tortured at Gitmo until he tells them what they wants to hear?
The true witch hunt is what they're doing to the President's son. Talk about the weaponization of government. We've gone from Hillary's emails to Hunter's laptop. How the media can cover this BS with a straight face is baffling.
