The scariest statement you'll ever hear

"Trump can win again".

Every time I hear a news host or political pundit say that my heart starts racing and I feel like screaming. My Trump PTSD starts kicking in with flashbacks to the 2020 hellscape he created and January 6th.

They really need a trigger warning before saying that crap.

Like, "for all of our sane viewers we need to warn you the following poll might be upsetting... Trump could win again."

The media has Election Derangement Syndrome

The day after one election ends in America the political pundits and pollsters start immediately speculating about who will win the next one.

The 2016 Presidential election felt like it lasted 5 years because the media couldn't get enough of the Trump clown show, Hillary's emails and the Bernie vs the DNC melodrama. By the time election day rolled around people were burnt out, exhausted and just wanted the whole thing to be over.

Then the media spent 4 years breathlessly speculating about the 2020 race.
And the minute the race was called for Biden they began predicting the 2022 midterms were going to be a disaster for Democrats.

In the meantime journalists repeatedly asked anyone connected to Trump if he was going to run for President again in 2024. They seemed to miss him terribly and were desperate for him to return.

And now the media is salivating over a possible Biden vs Trump rematch. Posting headlines everyday about polls that contradict one another (Biden +4, Trump +3).

The media is dying for a horse race. That's why they won't shut up about Biden's age and bogus Republican investigations into his son Hunter. A close race is great for ratings. Even though deep down they know Trump is a dangerous lunatic who will burn the whole country down and rule over it's ashes if it helps keep him out of prison.

And if Trump loses in 2024 they'll start asking whether he'll run again in 2028.
And round and round we go in our endless campaign season...

Doesn't matter if his crimes are caught on tape... they don't care. In fact his poll numbers and campaign donations will go up.

Trump's Presidential Run is insulting

What makes this twice impeached, twice indicted, two time loser of the popular vote believe he's qualified to become the most powerful person on the planet?

Is it because in 2016 the electoral college appointed him President despite him losing by 2.8 million votes? What has he done since then that proves he's ready on day one to be our Commander-In-Chief and leader of the free world?

Nothing he's done in the last 7 years makes him worthy of another term as President. Remarkably he's made himself even less qualified than he was in 2016. He's proven he shouldn't hold any elected office much less one that gives him the nuclear codes.

His entire campaign is an insult to the majority of Americans who support democracy and hold the office of the Presidency in high esteem.

The arrogance of this seditious traitor to think he should just be handed back the keys to the White House because he's scared of prison and wants to get even with his enemies is astonishing.

Bottom line is he can keep running for President until the day he dies. Doesn't mean anyone has to vote for him. Hopefully whatever sane Republicans are left figure that out before the primaries start. If not it will be up to Democrats and independents to defeat this psychopath once again in the general election.

Unfortunately he's never going to take the hint that he should just go away.

Who's worse, Trump or his enablers?

Who's more mentally ill,
Donald Trump or the people who vote for him and send him money?

Who's more morally reprehensible,
Donald Trump or the Republican elected officials who blindly defend him no matter how many laws he breaks and democratic norms he shatters?

Personally at this point I find Trump himself to be an annoying bore who's been saying the same 6 or 7 things repeatedly since 2015.

I'm more afraid of his voters, Republican sycophants in congress, corporate donors and anyone who works for his campaign. It's really his enablers that are infuriating to watch.

Trump's a vessel for the worst people in our country to show who they really are.

Does Trump still have classified documents?

I wonder if the National Archives and FBI are 100 percent sure that Trump no longer has any classified documents in his possession.

If he is still hiding top secret documents or mishandled them that's still a huge threat to our national security.

I'm convinced the FBI probably wanted to conduct further searches of his properties but feared more political blowback from the MAGA crazies.

Let's face it we're already in a second civil war

The second civil war has already begun. It started the day Donald Trump won the Presidency despite losing by 2.8 million votes.

In the past 7 years Trump, white nationalists, evangelical christians and billionaires have divided the country in two.

Thanks to the electoral college, gerrymandering, Citizens United, the filibuster and a Senate that disproportionately represents red states the odds of are country unifying is nearly impossible.

Plus with our Heritage Foundation theocratic Supreme Court extremist groups like the Christian right and NRA are dominating our rule of law despite being in the minority.

All one has to look at a map of the US and see what states have banned access to abortion. The entire south is basically a lost cause for reproductive rights.

The right wing extremists have no reason to soften their views because they know with the Roberts courts, gerrymandering and the electoral college they'll end up back in power eventually.

Thankfully we've got President Biden and a lot of awesome Democrats keeping up the fight against the MAGA red hats. Eventually we'll win this war for sanity.

Trump revealed his sick plan in his announcement speech

Looking back to Trump's Presidential announcement speech last November, this particular section still sends chills down my spine.

Here Trump said the quiet part out loud and revealed the Republicans diabolical plan to refuse to raise the debt ceiling. Thereby wrecking the economic recovery Biden and Democrats have worked so hard to achieve since Trump left it in shambles 2 years before.

His speech essentially said, "American voters don't agree with my view that the country is an apocalyptic hellhole that only I can fix. So my MAGA Republicans in the House are going to turn it into one."

They all know destroying the economy and causing a recession will hurt Biden and help Trump win back the White House in 2024. It's a twisted and evil scheme and the mainstream media is playing along by saying it's Biden's fault for not negotiating with Trump's economic arsonists in congress.

Trump is one sick man backed by an equally sick party. I'm absolutely certain they're going to let the country default on its debts. They'll do anything to get their orange messiah elected President again. They don't care who it hurts.

Difference in how Republicans and Democrats govern

When Republicans are in power they act like they have a mandate and govern like it. Doesn't matter if they lose the popular vote by millions or only have 4 seat majority in the House. They don't try to be partisan or work across the aisle. They see America as an autocracy and they are in control. Their ultimate goal is one party rule where the Democratic Party doesn't exist.

On the other hand when Democrats are in power we bend over backwards to appear nonpartisan and try to bring both parties together for the good of the country. Even though the majority of the country votes for us and supports are agenda.

Republicans are ruthless, cruel and unapologetic. They know because of gerrymandering, the Electoral College, voter suppression and citizens united they'll always win back power even if they lose it.

Democrats are way too nice. When we controlled Congress should have voted to raise the debt limit for at least 10 years when we had the chance. Or removed the stupid thing all together.

Everyone knew if Republicans took back Congress they'd refuse to raise the debt ceiling to destroy the economy and help Trump retake the White House.

This is like 2011 and 2013 all over again. But now Republicans are even more unreasonable and detached from reality. The Tea Party was relatively sane compared to these MAGA arsonists. Most of them don't even know what the debt limit is.

Hopefully Biden and Senate Democrats can reason with these lunatics. And any debt limit increase should last until after the 2024 election at least.

I just can't believe we're in this hostage situation again. Trying to pass a budget in September is already a big enough challenge.
