I'll never get used to reading this sentence

From yesterday's NPR article on Trump’s interview.

Trump remains one of the most popular figures in the Republican Party and is considered the front-runner for the 2024 presidential nomination, if he decides to run again.

Everytime I read or hear that my skin crawls.
Seriously out of 200 million adults in our country the Republicans can't find anybody other than Donald Trump they want to nominate for President.

I'll never understand it. After what he put this country through for 4 years the idea that anyone thinks he should become leader of the free world again in 2024 is nauseating.

Hopefully Trump’s demented mind continues to deteriorate and by the time 2024 rolls around he'll be unable to remember his name and what day of the week it is.

Judging by the deranged things he said in the NPR interview his mental state definitely hasn't improved since he tried to overthrow the government a year ago.
