folks in other states have no idea who we are and what we go thru....the last 2 days in WI were our last hope. We are thoroughly fucked now...the 3 bills (287 pages) had everything in them from courts to roads to pre existing conditions and healthcare to gerrymandering....
I myself know NC and MI and SC are in bad shape and I don't expect others to know what we live...now for almost a decade. When we did Walker's recall, Obama said he would put boots on the ground and march with us..but when it came time, he stayed FAR away from us..he had his reasons..and we only got a bit of national $$ towards the end. We have never been a match for the Kochs..
When you come down to it, we are not United at all...we are just a bunch of states...and today it makes Wisconsin Jody cry....

Republicans Extraordinary Dirty Tricks Session started at midnite....resumed at 4:30AM today....been going on 24 hrs...caucuses. etc...They passed the 1st 2 bills partylines, and the 3rd, which has everything in it, being debated now.

Generally, not a fan of municipal traffic court judges issuing federal injunctions – but this one should be a no-brainer... No sort of partisan goal-post-moving like this should be tolerated...If folks want to redefine the foundational powers of some of their elected politicians, go ahead... But there should be a waiting period of one full term past the next election for that redefinition to take effect...

Former federal prosecutor Peter Zeidenberg has written a column for USA Today that predicts special counsel Robert Mueller will soon lay out a “conspiracy case” regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election that will “ensnare the president’s family.”
As evidence, Zeidenberg cites former Trump “fixer” Michael Cohen’s latest guilty plea, in which he admitted to lying to Congress about a deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow that was being hammered out even as Trump was securing the Republican Party’s nomination for the presidency. It is this admission, Zeidenberg says, that will give Mueller evidence of a motive to conspire with Russia to interfere in the election.
“The putative Moscow project helps provide motive for Trump to have curried favor with Putin,” he writes. “And once Trump repeatedly and publicly denied having any business interests in Russia, Putin had leverage over Trump, because he knew this claim was an easily disprovable lie.”
Given that Cohen also regularly briefed members of the Trump family — including Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump — with updates on the project, Zeidenberg argues that they are now potentially implicated in the conspiracy, especially if they falsely told investigators that they knew little or nothing about Trump Tower Moscow.
He also believes that Trump publicly dangling a pardon for former campaign chairman Paul Manafort will almost certainly be seen as an attempt to obstruct justice by Mueller’s team.
