Why are interest rates for Lines of Credit still at 5.75%?

And that would be secured with a fully paid off house. That is low risk for the bank / credit union.

We are thinking of taking out a loan to help our daughter and her partner pay off their house as both have no income right now after business closures due to the virus.

We won't take out a loan while the Fed is giving these banks money for no interest.

This crisis is going to take down many people who live paycheck to paycheck.

Now thinking about relatives who live overseas.

Getting complicated.

Not sure why we need a trust if we have comprehensive wills. Any thoughts?

Our estate would be fairly significant so having wills (for both of us) would seem
to be sufficient.

The great fear we keep hearing is the cost of probate and delays in that process.

Anyone know of a phone scam that uses your cell phone to send texts to others?

I've been getting texts from someone claiming that I'm sending them nasty messages (apparently sexually explicit).

They sent the source phone number but that is not my number. I told the person this.

Despite this these texts continue.

I'm trying to decide if this is some fishing scam or some genuine hack.

I cannot see how that number comes to my phone (by text).

Anyone heard of such a thing?
