Be on lookout for Russians in submarine heading for Trumps Mar-a-Lago

Be on the lookout for a submarine this Thanksgiving.
If you are in the vicinity of the Intracoastal Waterway from the Palm Beach Inlet to the Southern Boulevard Bridge, immediately report any unusual wakes, large underwater shadows and surfacing periscopes throughout the week.

Let’s hope that nothing comes of this. But better safe than sorry.

As you probably know, President Donald Trump is spending the holiday at his Palm Beach club, Mar-a-Lago, and we’ve got to maintain a secure perimeter there.

The potential threats from air, land and surface waters are well covered, but there’s a Russian-owned submarine that just showed up in the area. And we can’t take any chances of infiltration from below.

As Bundy trial begins, militia man Payne faces tough road to freedom

As he approached the jurors Wednesday afternoon in U.S. District Court, Assistant Federal Public Defender Ryan Norwood seemed thoroughly prepared to make his opening statement on behalf of client Ryan Payne.

It was just as clear Norwood had his work cut out for him.

Payne, a Montana resident, answered a call for help from Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy and his family in early April 2014. Whether that makes Payne a hero or a dupe largely depends on how you interpret the motives and facts of the case, but what’s not in question is the amount of trouble he finds himself in as his trial unfolds in U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro’s courtroom. Like his three co-defendants, if convicted he faces decades in prison.

As the leader of Operation Mutual Aid, a loose national network of militia groups, Payne encouraged like-minded people to bring their weapons to the Nevada desert to provide security for the Bundy family against the federal oppressors. It was clear even from lawyer Norwood’s opening remarks that his client didn’t spend a lot of time researching the grazing rights dustup between Cliven Bundy and the Bureau of Land Management before locking and loading his AR15.

Russian yacht docks in port; Will Putin friend pay Trump a visit?

RIVIERA BEACH —
Days before President Trump flies into town for Thanksgiving, one of the world’s most expensive yachts, owned by Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich, sailed into the Port of Palm Beach Friday afternoon.

The 533-foot Eclipse, valued at $400 million to $500 million, comes equipped with a pool, helipad, submarine and room for a crew of 92, according to marine websites. It made its way past The Bahamas and docked at 1:15 p.m, taking the slip normally reserved for the Grand Celebration, a cruise ship currently on hurricane-relief duty in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

Originally booked to stay through Dec. 5, the Eclipse may have to leave Dec. 1, as it is being followed by the 644-foot World, billed as “the largest private residential ship on the planet,” which is scheduled to arrive that day.

Landowner near Keystone Pipeline leak says he isn't surprised

MARSHALL COUNTY, S.D. Crews are continuing to clean up what is considered the largest oil spill in South Dakota history. The incident happened around 6 a.m. Thursday morning and 5,000 barrels or 210,000 gallons leaked near Amherst.


One farmer, who owns land just north of where the oil leak happened and has pipeline underneath his property, says he isn't surprised that any of this happened.

"Well, it's like the other shoe dropping. We were told by a lot of people that when TransCanada put this thing in the ground that the conditions, it was sloppy, wet conditions, and they just drove it in cause in a hurry, time is money," Marshall County Landowner Kent Moeckly said.
