My foot was glued like lead to the floor.
That's all there is, and there ain't no more.
Our driver was running on so-so tires, nearly outta gas, up against the guardrail and (probably) threw a rod.
But he won.
Question about recovery from minimally invasive lung surgery to remove a tumor.
I had the surgery early Wednesday morning and got home Thursday afternoon. Basically doing well, although my chest feels like Sandy Koufax has been hurling fastballs at it.
One thing: I've got the little plastic incentive spirometer that I'm supposed to be using on a regular basis. Baseline number presurgery was about 2500+. Now it's around half that. Seems like an awful big loss given that a fairly small amount of tissue was taken. The good news is that I'm sleeping OK, bringing up mucus OK, and my SpO2 is around 94%.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Am I the only one who thinks Biden should call up Garland...

Yeah, I get that politicizing the DOJ is very bad. Maybe not as bad as a full-on fascist POTUS.
If you read the Bible (especially the OT) with the idea that it's meant be taken literally...
...or even metaphorically seriously, you rapidly come to the conclusion that it's pretty messed up.
Fundamentalists believe that they believe the Bible wholly and literally, but they don't really believe. If they did, they'd have to be confined as a threat to themselves and others.

Isn't it time to come to grips with the reality that TFG will never be indicted.
Will never stand trial. Will never be convicted.
Biden took office January 20, 2021. By mid-February at the very latest (and probably way before that), the Intelligence Community was aware that a whole boatload of classified documents had been taken out of the White House by TFG.
That was a year-and-a-half ago. A year and a half where a man who tried to overthrow the government has sat on a treasure trove of supposedly sensitive documents. If anything dramatic was ever going to happen to TFG, it would have happened by now.
The ruling by Judge Aileen Cannon points the way. TFG now has a crystal clear road map on how to kick the can down the road until election 2024 and beyond. Anytime TFG looks to be behind the eight-ball, all he has to do is claim that, say, his dog died, and one of his pet judges will rule that the proceedings must be suspended by the legal doctrine canis mortuus est.
Dumb legal question:
Isn't Trump's behavior so egregiously bad right now he should be in custody pending trial?
Why a plea bargain with the TFG is nearly impossible.
Lots of us have wondered if a bargain could be struck that would have TFG permanently exiting politics, disappearing from the public eye, and generally STFU in exchange for no prosecution.
Ah, no. TFG is a complete sociopath who would renege on any bargain in a heartbeat. Then what? Litigate that? Besides, what prosecutor could make a case for letting TFG go with any bargain given what we know now?
Maybe if ritual suicide is part of the deal.
If 40% of Americans think that TFG is God's Instrument and...
...40% think he's Putin's asset, how does this not end in civil war?
