We here at DU have a lot to be thankful for. We should take a day off from worrying about all the bad things out there and rejoice in the good ones.
But just the one day -- there's a lot to be done.
If Michigan doesn't certify today, we're in coup territory.
Absent specific and credible allegations of crimes massive enough to flip the results, that’s where we’ll be.
Right now, Trump is that troubled neighborhood kid who keeps trying to break into houses.
You may feel confident in your doors and windows and security system. The kid doesn't exactly have mad breaking and entering skills either. Still, he's persistent and doesn't seem to experience any consequences for failed attempts. One careless moment or overlooked weakness and he's in, to do God knows what damage.
About time the members of the Klown Kar Koup got sued or brought up on contempt charges, or whatever's appropriate.
Do the MAGATs get that a successful coup by Trump means an instant civil war?
Can they be so stupid they don't realize that -- or are they even so stupid they think that would be somehow a good thing?
The Evangelicals sold their souls to gain power.
Now they'll have no power -- and no souls.
So if Biden takes exactly 270 EVs...
...I wonder what steps could be taken to discourage a potential faithless elector from flipping and bringing the whole thing crashing down.
Today is a battle between Good and Evil.
I am 69 years old. Even 13-year-old me had a more nuanced view of the Johnson-Goldwater race.
The forces of Evil are strong. Among them are our family members and former friends.
We will prevail. We simply will. Failure is not an option.
